I. Gigues (Modéré)
II. Iberia
Do, do, l’enfant do ».

“Yes, “ACH DU LIEBER, MEIN SCHATZ”!!! How can “music of such WEIRD sounds” sound so GORGEOUS?! My ol’ “pea pickin’ heart yumps for yoy” & sends my “difibrulator” into overdrive!! At 81, this AMAZING MISIC still thrills me to no end! Yes, “I’m IN LOVE” with the fabulous music of Mr. Claude Debussy! Music like this goes way beyond mere words!!!

At the age of 12, I decided this was my favourite piece of music and at the age of 75 it still is(followed by the full choral Martyre de St. Sebastien). I have a giant mural of Debussy's music in my walled garden.

Bewundernswert!

There's no reason that the French system basson should be confined to so few orchestras, beautiful sounds and beautiful playing. The French players always impress. Viva la basson!

Want to see more of the Musicians, particularly the 'sections', and the soloists, i.e. Cor Anglais. Throughout the beautiful theme he was to be seen - towards the end of his phrase, whereas the conductor was prominent during the 'whole' passage....knowledge of the music would be an advantage to all.

17:09 Krivine is struggling with the oboist trying to get her to pick up the pace on her solo and from the look on his face he is not too pleased.

Wow! I would have never picked up on that in a thousand years! It sounded great to me, but perhaps you are a musician and can more readily pick up these things. :)

@@Alan112573 ...Or mnmnm is speculating wildly. The oboist is right on track and playing the part well.. Krivine doesn't seem displeased at all. Krivine is exaggerating his motions at this point in concert with the dynamics surrounding the oboe solo, not coercing the oboist to pick up the pace. Amazing what people will do to make themselves look like musical "experts" by finding tiny things to ctriticize in a musical performance.

@@onfirepro No offense, but aren't you speculating too, but acting like what you say is the truth? That being said, I "believe" that Krivine isn't displeased either.
