If you want the opposition to have more chances to make it more interesting then you need to change the sliders. You can find the sliders in the settings before a game. They enable you to change how good and or bad you and your opposition in career mode are. Every stat starts at 50 for you and the opposition. I'd advise making your opponents better and your team worse so that you have saves to make. It's not like changing the difficulty because if you up the difficulty, your team will also get better to cope with the increased level of performance from the opposition.

Fantastic videos man, absolutely hilarious. You may well know this, but you can go into the settings and turn your team's marking down; if you set it somewhere in the 15-25 range (out of 100) you'll have a lot more to do as a keeper. I've had some 16 save games on mine.
