What do you think of this ultra minimalist wallet?

I've been using it for the past 6 months and loving it. My only beef after seeing your video is that when mine came, it's just in a plain cardboard box 😩

I think it has better utility than a Ridge wallet

I have a Bogui Clik which nigh on copied the design and I loved it. That was until I got the Ti-wallet from MagnusX. Titanium and awesome. I’ve used that so much. The DM wallet is also awesome. I love the idea. 👌🏻🙂👍🏻

I have the anodized black 12 card and it’s amazing! The one thing I figured out is since most of my cards have embossed numbers, etc, to avoid the cards “bursting”, I take two cards and put them in face to upside down face. This makes the cards a little thinner than having the embossed numbers on top of watch other.

I was in search of the best mininmalist wallet, and after many purchases, lots of money, I settled on my 2 favorites. The Akeeni Xsto, and my number one is the Decadent Minimalist. So worth the titanium version.

I don’t think you can get any more minimal than the Decadent Minimalist wallets
@Richard_Barnes5 жыл бұрын
Oh, the fact you got hold of these made me subscribe. lol. 😀👍🏻 On my MagnusX Ti-wallet which works the same way, I fold UK cash and put it between 2 cards. These 2 cards are the ones that have to be carried but are rarely needed. So it carries cash and hides it at the same time by doing it that way. 👍🏻👌🏻

I've had one for years, went from an 8 card aluminum dm1 to a 12 card titanium after 2 or 3 years. Spendy but worth it
@loganstevenson934 жыл бұрын
Notice much of a difference between the Aluminum and the titanium? Going to buy one just wondering if the titanium is worth spending more

I've been using the TI DM1 12 card wallet with the money clip for a few years now and I love it. It is by far my favorite minimalist wallet. I almost never carry cash so I use the money clip to carry reciepts after shopping. This is a great minimalist wallet.

I have this wallet in carbon fiber with titanium money clip that was available during the Kickstarter campaign. It's a little different, as it's machined out of a solid block of carbon fiber, but still a single piece design. I really like it and EDC'd it for years, but I am still looking for something better and have tried a few. I keep going back to it though so that says a lot. To sum it up, I would say it's my all-time #2 wallet, but I haven't found #1 yet.

Interesting concept, but I think people are thinking “minimalism” is just the least amount period, for me it’s finding happiness with the thing I have even if it has a bit more to it

I absolutely love the minimalism behind this wallet. The paradox is that I absolutely hate the money clip on it, I don't hate money clips at all but I would've preferred some kind of unique sistem to carry the cash just like the unique idea behind the frame. I'm constantly looking to the perfect wallet for me, I think it will be and endless research hahahaha

That's why you get a few and rotate them out. I currently carry the Moral Origin cork pocket purse and the Distil Union Wally 5.0. Looking to add either this with the money clip or the Patina for more formal days.
@lightinthedark_3 жыл бұрын
I've had the titanium for 6 years now. If you're getting the money clip, go for the titanium. The steel clip is too strong, it's a pain to use if you have more than a few bills.
@j.a.styles5475 жыл бұрын
The price the functionality and design... the stow wallet blows it away, too bad the money clip is an add on and too and jacks up the price...thanks chris for an great review😊
@valentine17825 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. STOW blows this out of the water, it's cheaper & holds more: cards, cash & cards...
@2212mjm11 ай бұрын
I had the Xsto wallet, and loved it, it’s my second fave next to the Decadent. Functionality is basically the same, but the Decadent is more minimal. Also, if they made an Xsto in titanium, the price would get jacked up. I bought an 8 and 12 card version, added a ridge coin tray, and can keep my cash in between the tray and cards.

Heya Crispy! I like the thought behind this wallet, but with automobile insurance cards and other odd ball size cards (smaller width), I'd be leery. Can you check out the Dango C01 Civilian for us? Love to have your opinion on it. Been carrying my Grip6 with leather sleeve for a while now and I'm really digging it. Cheers! Zip~

I have the C01 and keep putting off the review for some reason. Lol. And I have the Grip6 as well. Can’t wait to see what they do for V2!

You should check out MSTRMND’s Apex 3.0 if you can! As I’ve said before, I love my 2.0 with the metal tension clip, but I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on the new version with the elastic band/strap. I’m curious to see how it handles being upside down and the actual retention, especially with only a couple cards.
@ChrispyThings5 жыл бұрын
I’ll look it up. Thanks for the recommendation

Don't think I would use that as a wallet, but I have a lot of cards I don't carry around all the time that it would be great for.

Does anyone have any experience between the different of the Aluminum and the titanium? The titanium is a lot more expensive but wondering if anyone has seen a big difference in quality and it lasting longer etc
@GuillaumeB73 жыл бұрын
Had the brushed titanium one for 2.5 years now. Still no problem and function just as new. There are a lot of small scratches which removed some of the original shine, but I guess I could use one of those brushes that are used to remove scratches on titanium watches.

Yeah, got my Stow wallet the other day and love it. This one seems okay, but as other people have said by the time you've bought all the addons, which I would do, like the money clip, RFID blocking card, you're talking nearly $200 with shipping. Being in the UK, that's not good.
@ChrispyThings5 жыл бұрын
Yes this one is a little pricey if you want all the goodies. I think the Stow wallet has a better way of getting the cards out, and has a better cash carrying ability. That’s not taking anything away from the DM1 at all. It just shows how good the Stow really is.
@Richard_Barnes5 жыл бұрын
soloman01uk, I just found the DM1 on Amazon UK. Have you looked? 👍🏻 Also, don’t get suckered into the RFID scam. You don’t need any RFID cards.

Has anyone noticed that with wallets like this and the ridge wallet ones that are metal or mostly ridged material kinda wear out the material of your pants. I don’t ware tight pants lol but the corners of my ridge definatly put a strain on the pocket material.
@ChrispyThings5 жыл бұрын
Richard Noseworthy I have many Ridge wallets but it’s not my edc. I carry a Contour every day and never noticed wear in my pockets. But even when I was carrying a Ridge it never seemed to be a problem. At least for me.

My issue is the aluminum build. I have other things in my pockets that can be damaged by the aluminum. I also keep my car keys in the same pocket as my wallet. I'd be concerned about the keys messing up the wallet. I just got a Radix one off of Amazon. It's a ridge wallet clone made of polycarbonate. Not only do I have no concerns about wallet and keys interacting in bad ways, it is way cheaper.
@ChrispyThings5 жыл бұрын
Anything metal on metal in a pocket will cause scratches. If I carry my wallet in my right pocket, keys automatically go in the left.
@brandons91385 жыл бұрын
@@ChrispyThings My left pocket is occupied by my phone. Check out the Radix One on Amazon. I've had mine for about a week. The thing vanishes once it's dropped in my pocket. @BigD91765 жыл бұрын
I actually really like it, reminds me more of an older bifold with a cool update. I was using the Gen 1 trayvax element and it was causing my cards to peel from taking them in and out. Keep up the great content, and I’m sure I’ll be buying more wallets.

Can companies stop making basic feature that should come on the wallet as add on that we have to pay extra for just so they say it's a super slim wallet in ads but somewhere to put case should come with the wallet. The wallet is worthless without a place to put money and no I'm not paying extra that's bullshit. there are so many places that are cash only. For this price it should hold cash It's like buying a knife but claimed it can lock but you have to by the lock as an ad on like no
@staticvoidmain4 жыл бұрын
I strongly disagree. I don't know where you live or what things you buy, but I've had no need to carry cash, and got this wallet almost two years ago and never regret it. Worth every penny IMO. I would hate it if they put a useless card clip in there because lots of people do not carry cash, especially considering where it's made (Seattle). I wouldn't want to pay for something I will not use. Modular is better than waste. Just put a debit card in there.
