The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

I was once acquainted with a woman who lived on Hawthorn Lane. One cold, dark, damp Northwest evening, I had to drive down that street and I thought that I caught a glimpse of a man who looked like a character or an actual person who was from the 19th century. It was a very eerie scene.

When I visit a cemetery, I always say a prayer of protection for myself and a prayer for all that are buried there that they may all rest in peace and God's perpetual light shine upon them. Only then, I will proceed in walking around and upon leaving, I tell them not to follow me home. I learned this from someone and I think it's a good practice.

Psychic mediums which I've read Alot of after the passing of my Mom., 20 years ago 💔 Than some after my Father passed 15 years ago I lost my husband of 50 years 💔💔 he passed at home. But Afterlife has always intrigued me. My Mom and my Husband have passed here at my home knowing they were Loved. My Dad at their home, but I had decided to stay there for 1 week, he passed in his sleep 🙏💔

Yes but that is not so strange, because birds and other kind of animals sences very strong, if evilty has happen. Any activity what so ever, are committed by demons, because the people who were evil in life, dont come back, but demons are fully aware who they were and what they did in life. Many deathcamps from the WW2, even they are placed in areas with forests and beautifyl nature, dont have any birds, there are nothing but silence, death and evil has ruined the sound of nature.... Many graves we are watching where criminals escape punisment in life, will face it in their afterlife, no evil go unpunished......

You sound like my father telling stories that would scare the grandkids to death about "Hatchet Harry " who was buried in the old cemetery. Of course he told the story just before the kids went to bed in the motor home! Dad waited about an hour, returned to the motor home scratching the door and making wild noises. He loved it more than his grandkids....silly kids. Dad is 93 and can't tell stories anymore but Laughs like a kid when the grandkids reminiscent about the old stories . Those bridges are just that, old bridges that horse and buggies once crossed, then later Model A's. As the traffic progressed, the bridge could no longer handle it, & it was closed down. There is a bridge about 15 miles from me that is almost identical, but the wooden beams had tar pavement laid on top. It is a steel bridge so when anyone walks across it, it makes a strange vibration noise. It's not creepy during the day, but in the dark it can be a bit daunting with that vibrating noise...

I noticed that. Maybe they both had pneumonia and died of it on the same day? I was thinking that someone could have told the engraver that "she died on the last day in Feb.", and he thought there were 31 days in Feb. But if that was so, how did he get Granvil's death date correct - unless someone told him that "Granvil died two days later"? That is presuming that Granvil did die on March 2. But who knows, at this point?

I came here in 2018 after visiting Pemberton Hall and Ashmore estate, I got here ironically at 3am on a full moon. I was taking nightlapses of haunted locations, definitely felt uncomfortable and kept my head down while my cameras took photos in the dark, didn't stay long. On the way to my next location my GPS started acting funny and there was this mass of darkness flying along side my card, I ended up in a ditch moments later, thus ending my trip. Don't know what it was but it seriously scared me.

I think I saw someone or something walking in this video. It is when Ron describes that he "has spotted the grave. It is over there ". The camera pans over to the far right, and there is an upright figure walking straight near the trees, then disappears. Ron then says "but we gonna go this way first". I looked at it several times, and there is something definitely there. Any comments on this?

Thr situation sounds like Crestone, Colorado, right outside of that Small Town driving towards the wooded area, on one side of the dirt road, there was no wind, no breeze or any sound at all. I mean no sounds of life at all, but on the other side of the dirt road, there was normal noise and sounds.it was very eerie. My husband at the time said, that town was full of witchcraft. It was weird driving through that town too there was absolutely no sign of people around in their houses, outside and no activity, whatsoever. I was so scared, I drove like a bat out of hell, to get out of there. So, Crestone, Colorado is haunted. It's located in the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado close to Monte Vista. The calm air right outside of Crestone, is very scary and eerie, like he is talking about. I have never experienced anything like this anywhere else.

First thank you for telling these stories I enjoy the stories of ordinary people and you are great at telling them. 3 years ago I went to the US to be with my third cousin for 2 weeks, We had shared family history research daily by email. I was taken to 3 cemeteries and I felt all had that strange feeling of death to them and I found them very dry and bare. Our cemeteries don't have this eerie feeling of death because each grave is in like a small garden that the family can decorate as they wish and the cemeteries are so green and beautiful. We even go sunbathe in some and have from early time had picnics in at least one of them:) I went to put flowers on the grave of my great great grandmother who had died in 1917. I am not surprised that you can find so many stories because I find the US to be a very violent country. What I mean is the in all my family history I have found no murders but then I can only go back to around 1660 or so and my earlier ancestors who were vikings I'm sure there would be stories to tell but that is very far back to have to go. Doing research for my 3rd cousin I found that all his ancestors were fine when living in my country but that sure changed when coming to America. I had found death certificates for a family and was just copying them to his tree not reading them but my eyes fell on one word in one of them "homicide". So I had to find out more and I found newspaper clippings telling the story of how this woman and her husband was shot by their son-in-law. As if that wasn't enough it turned out that my cousin's uncle, which was the generation after these other people, got the death penalty for killing his wife and her daughter. I mean is there something in the air in America? And with my great great grandmother who had left our country in 1907, I got her divorce papers and it was 72 pages of her testimony of how her husband had treated her and tried to kill her several times like(him on a horse) when she was milking a cow and when he didn't succeed, screamed to his friend to shoot her. This was just one of the times. She is the only one of my ancestors with this kind of history and she only found this violence in the US. She died because her health was bad because he had starved her but she did have a couple of good years with another man before she died. So I'm not surprised you can find these scary stories:) Sorry this comment is so long:)

What a beautiful bridge! It reminds me of the bridge across Spoon River at Elmore Illinois. It has been replaced but nothing can replace my memories of standing on the bridge watching the river water lazily flow under us. That's a gorgeous setting for a cemetery too. It too reminds me of Glendale Cemetery in Elmore. Never creep because nearly everyone there is family. 💝

Did anyone besides me notice that the ground around that headstone didn't not have any grass growing? It's not because of the tree shading the ground or I don't think so because there are other trees that have grass growing under them.

I love old bridges and their history so seeing this one was a real treat. So glad you took us on the walk with you. So, this story is a good example of how stories are embellished throughout the years to make them more interesting. Caroline was most likely not a witch but just had some odd behaviors and of course since she was different, she had to be a witch. If she died of Pneumonia, then she was never charged with witchcraft or burned at the stake. This monument fascinates me. I have never seen anything like it. I did some research and the logs with the sawed-off branches represent family members that have passed on before, often buried nearby. The use of logs represents the shortness of time we have on earth. A sphere is meant to be wholeness, completeness or even the universe. Interestingly the honeycomb represents the spirit as the bee and the comb is where the spiritual input of one's life can be stored. Love that you went to this isolated old cemetery, and I learn something every time I watch. Thank you, kind sir, for giving me another lesson in life and death.,

What an amazing beautiful old cemetery. I've always loved them. So quiet and peaceful. People that are creeped out by it, i always make the point that the one's below ground you needn't worry about; it's the one's above that are trouble!😱😨😊lol..
