I’m a Patagonia gear owner but recently got this jackets big brother the MT500 hooded. It’s on a par with the Patagonia down sweater hoody and sooo much cheaper.

That is great feedback! For the money, this is a fantastic jacket. Like you, I LOVE Patagonia, but you can get almost 4 of these for the price of one Patagonia down sweater.

I bought this in blue 7-8 years ago and it's still going strong despite regular wear (literally no flows). Back then, it only cost €39.99 and should've just bought them in all colours.

Just purchased one for $60 on sale and absolutely love it. Columbia also makes some very affordable down jackets and can often find them on sale.

@Engearment I've been curious about the Hardland down jacket on Amazon for under 80 dollars too. Slightly bigger with 650 down but looks well made and packs into its pocket as well. Only a couple videos on KZbin of it unfortunately

@@patrickdolan. I just looked into this and I think you are better off with the Decathlon. 800 over 650 is worth it. I don't like the the Hardland is claiming 4k waterproofing on the jacket without saying what kind of DWR or other water resistant treatment they use. Just my 2 cents. Hope you enjoy whatever you go with!

Hey buddy! I read that they run small as well, but was pleasantly surprised that it was a good fit. It is on the more fitted side, in my opinion. But not to small. I almost asked to test an XXL but glad I did not!

I don’t know for sure. But I imagine the gut would be much bigger. I tend to have a bit of trouble finding jackets that fit my larger chest and upper back. While not being super baggy in the torso.

Do not buy any Decathlon items! Ordered a MT100 down jacket, it never arrived and even though I paid for the extra shipping insurance, they won't reimburse me or ship me a new one. Stay away from this company, especially if you plan to order through the mail.
