I was thinking of trying Caperlan rods for predator fishing and found this video, which really surprised me. May I know the name of the used Caperlan rods? Also, would you guys recommend those rods over other brands such as Pioneer, Maguro, and Kaizen? Thank you :D

Its a good rod if you use it to what it is intended to. I got my son a elicuim 100 and their 3000 spinning reel with .25 FC. Still going strong after 2.5 years of frequent-ish use. May reviewer badmouth cheap rod/reels because they "break so easily" Yeah right... Try testing a $15 rod with a shimano FX and reel in a 3-8KG bass see how catastrophically it will break..

The GT isn't really that big and the rod isn't the problem,it's your drag being too tight
@KRAKENGEARTV4 жыл бұрын
In fact the drag was too loose! I have to grab the spool! 😂 Watch closely 😉

I don't mean to be rude but any stupid rod angle like that can break any rod on the market especially the higher end carbon fiber rods

The way you guys were high sticking that voyager and dancing all over the place it was bound to break....the least you could have done was to fish it properly if you really wanted a head to head challenge....don't just do things just to show someone else's product in poor light....

Hi, thank you for watching! Our intention was try to break the cheap rod but we didn't expect the more expensive rod to break first. 😓 Will pass the comment to the angler! Noted with thanks 👌
@RealMenReel3 жыл бұрын
Well it goes to show that it's very clearly the angler who's responsible and not the rod...I would have liked to see the roles reversed or one person handling both rods because the angler handling the cheaper rod never once went above chest height or put excessive strain on it...I fish mahseer and they are also famous for bending out treble hooks and breaking rods..I have caught plenty on decathlon rods so I'm not taking anything away from decathlon (I worked for decathlon also by the way!!)

I broke a decathlon rod once though. Tough rod!
