1:32 "take a good at it 'cuz this might be it.." :) Made me chuckle. I think you handled the maiden perfectly. Nice job and thanks for sharing your maiden.

I used to think it was bad luck to shoot a “before” picture of the plane. Thanks!!! Despite the situation escalation it all worked out. Can’t wait to take it out and dial it in more.

Great job on the plane and the flying Dan. I'm in Az. for the winter and looking forward to getting back together with the club and doing some flying in the spring.

What a great plane👍…still remember my first maiden with a midsize heli and I was shaking like crazy, but all came down in one piece 😂 guess to be a little bit nervous is always good! Cheers from Munich🍺 Sven

About to go get my IRL Taildragger endorsement in a Decathlon this coming week! What a great model you've maidened!
@Capgains77772 жыл бұрын
I’ve been in a Citabria a couple of times and it is a whoot. I can only imagine a straight up Decathlon is even better. Very sexy looking airplane. Good luck.

Yep, you need a real high end vid camera to do it right. What’s that going on, on the work bench Dan? Inquiring minds have a right to know!

Hi John, That is the start of the BTE Flying King. I’ll be posting more about that as it goes. So far it has been great although I feel spoiled that the parts are cut out. Its a wonderful kit.

Hi Dan , Is this one of your "scratch builds" ? Or what maker ? What size engine ? Details Pease ? What radio ? Thanks , Mark
@Capgains77772 жыл бұрын
This is not a scratcher, but an ARF I bought several years ago and was almost finished with it when an issue came up with radio interference on it (yes even with 2.4 ghz). I tried several things that didn’t fix the issue so I benched it and proceeded with other projects such as the Rebel. It was made by flight model? I’m sure its one of those here today gone tomorrow Chinese ARF contractors and to my knowledge no longer producing this model. The engine is an EVO 35 GT from horizon hobbies. And the radio I set this one up with is a Fr Sky Horus 10. Using Xtreme Power Systems Tx and Rx modules.

That engine sounds so good what is it
@Capgains77772 жыл бұрын
It is a MVVS Evo 35 GT with solid state ignition. I don’t think they make these any more. Its a Czech made engine that used to be carried by Horizon Hobbies. Its a great engine, you might be able to locate one for sale on Ebay or one of the RC sites like RC Groups.

Great looking aircraft But after flying R/C for 45 years and large scale up to 12 ft wing span AS a maiden flight In my opinion and many of my fellow flyers the aircraft should of been flown slower for it first flight. See how it handles then after the first flight up it a notch. But fly it AT A SCALE SPEED NOT AS A PILON RACER. BUT ALL IN ALL WELL DONE TO A LOVELY MODEL.

Good video just get rid of the crappy beating in the background
@Capgains77772 жыл бұрын
I don’t use music in the background the entire very often, Just kind if threw it in for this video because it was different than my usual building video. I’ll put you down for a “no” vote 😉.
