Looks like you need a fan in the practice area bro! Especially for one of Disturbed's more up-tempo songs (double-time in the verses is q = ~160bpm or so even though the song as a whole is actually 79-80, either way such is rare for them). Good work, great cover. Found my way to your channel through your Rotting in Vain cover, and will be staying to peruse your other material because you actually play Mike's tom ostinato patterns CORRECTLY unlike every other single person I've seen playing Disturbed songs. I learned a long time ago from watching him play Indestructible at Mayhemfest that his left hand doesn't drop tom hits to fit in the snare on the backbeat during those busy ostinato passages--instead he plays a three note group quickly tom/snare/tom to keep his right hand free to move around. It's refreshing to see somebody with the ears to hear it and/or enough interest in the music to pick it up correctly. I also like that you stick close to the tracks. It's a preference that's different for each listener, but frankly I hate watching guys like Cobus or Cooperdrummer screwing around so much. Even if I like the song (and I know they're very talented, so it may be boredom more than showing off) it's just distracting and too busy.

Mike is a huge influence on me and making sure I get the track just like him or as close to him, or any drummer, is very important to me. They wrote it that way for a reason. Why change it?? His left hand during Indestructible is doing A LOT. The right is China 1 & 3 and Tom 2 & 4 while the left is picking up the slack haha. I'm glad to hear you'll be sticking around brother. bad ass and nice job! my fav part of the song is the chorus with the eight note ride and bass drum and the off beat crashes. How do you learn songs cause it seems next to impossible for me to hear everything and visualize it? A good technique my friend helped me get which would seem obvious but for whatever reason helped me "see" music is to count sixteenth notes to the music. SO?! How did you learn this song and other songs to "see" the music?! Thanks \m/
