December 15, 2024 • The Incarnate Word of God

God has chosen to deal with His Creation -- and His People -- through His Word. God is always in a Word Relationship with us, He reveals Himself and His Will to us through His Word; He is a speaking God; that's how He has chosen to interact with all of Creation and with His People in the Holy Christian Church.
One of the themes of Advent is realizing that Jesus is the incarnate Word of God. Jesus is the incarnate Word of God Who was born in Bethlehem to reveal God to us. As the incarnate Word of God, we learn from Jesus that God is loving and kind, merciful and compassionate to us. Jesus has revealed that God is not an angry judge just waiting to punish you, nor is He a distant Creator who does not care about you.
• Jesus reveals God’s love, mercy and kindness to you;
• Jesus reconciles you to the Father through His life, death, and resurrection;
• Jesus continues to speak Words of forgiveness, life and hope to you through His Word and Sacraments.
