I’ve followed U2 for exactly 40 years and these covers are just soooo good. I believe in these so much more than the SOS LP. Which I feel bad about for one of my favourite bands but on the other hand delighted that an independent band can make such a great job of these tracks xx

Beautiful, haunting, uplifting. Thank you December! I love almost EVERYTHING about this version, except one little thing...and I bet you thought a lot about it. The reverb/echo on the vocal track. IMHO it's too much. But what do I know??! I'm only a fan and not a musician. I don't want to discourage you all. I've listened to this 4x in a row and so clearly I do love a lot of what you've done here. All the best to you!!

“No, nothing makes sense Nothing seems to fit” is an apt description of December’s cover of U2’s Acrobat. (Stay with me here!) Hearing a band do a note for note cover of a song is never interesting. What December does here is take a true hidden gem of U2’s and put an almost symphonic background, a thumping drumbeat and Ails’ haunting and longing vocals to deliver something that ‘doesn’t make sense or fit.’ It is unique and stands on its own. December delivers an incredible new version of the song that I could listen to along with Bono and the lads’ original.

December once again creates beautiful interpretations of U2’s music. Ambient and noisy all at once. If I didn’t know better, I’d think U2 copied their style on Songs of Surrender
