Ooh I have a video request - you said at the end that the eyes didn't match with the lips and I wondered why? I thought it looked great. Something i've noticed is I must not be great at pairing colours together. Maybe you could do this eye look and then give lots of blush and lip colour options that suit it well and then other examples like this pinky one and explain why it's not the best combo? xx

The eyes are such a warm, coppery kinda color that the berryish pink clashes a bit imo. A warm nude or brown lip would go better. Also, if you do a lot of glitter or shimmer on the eyes, typically the lips will stay matte or more toned down and vice versa. That's my thoughts, but I'd love to see Kathleen do a video on it too!!

Winter may be here, but not everyone has dry skin. Oily skin girls don't stop existing in the winter time. Also, boxycharm is all about sending out dewy products, so more often than not the oily skin girls get the short end of the stick with all of the dewy stuff. I think it is great that they get some products for once. :)

BA in psych here! Smell is the number 1 trigger for memory, thats why it always takes you back to your childhood. The olfactory cortex (the part of your brain that processes smell) is part of the limbic system in your brain which also houses the sections (the hippocampus, the amygdala, etc) that control and store memory!

Scent is my thing as well. I smell certain things and am immediately nostalgic or happy or sad or...I can place scents quicker than anyone I know and match them to other things I’ve smelled...I just recently found a replacement for my signature fragrance that was discontinued for years. At first sniff, they smell nothing alike, but as the fragrance mellows, I’m so pleased to find that I no longer have to search for something that suits me so perfectly and places me in a specific time of my life.

AHH still haven't gotten my Boxycharm but deff hoping I get the Powder Room Powder! love your unboxings also I've commented this before but since you're so sensitive and dry a hydrating toner would really save ur skin like the Klairs Supple Preparation toner or the Hada Labo Hyaluronic Acid Lotion (lotion means toner in japan) but both of these won't strip your skin and it will add some liquid hydration before u seal it in with a moisturizer!

My strongest sense is smell too. I love perfume, but I also have to get rid of one if I wore it a lot during a time when a lot of bad things were happening to me because the smell triggers those memories. Aside from that I’m like a blood hound. Maybe it’s more of a neurosis because I even dream of smelling things that bother me and finding them and getting rid of the smell. I really love smells but I’m also really bothered by them if it’s a nasty smell. Like my roommate can just sit in a room with a nasty smell and ignore it... idk how he does that because it would drive me mad!

Same! Certain food smells like meat or eggs frying make me literally gag, while smells I enjoy make experiences so much more intense. I lit a new Christmas candle the other day, and the smell triggered a memory of me being around 13 yo standing at the open window of my childhood home and smelling the fresh winter air while I had a candle lit....pretty cool! It's a blessing and a curse lol.

I got my first Boxyluxe this month and I am HOOKED! That huge box of products blew my hair back! The standouts were a Luxie 8 piece brush set. Miranda Stamper Every 3 months they do the Boxyluxe, so I got Boxyluxe this month and the next Boxyluxe should be for March 2019. Everyone doesn’t get Boxyluxe and continues to get Boxycharm every month and the people getting Boxyluxe get Boxycharm the months in between. There are some people getting both, they pay for the regular Boxycharm and get the Boxyluxe in the month it’s offered, but I’m not. The months that we receive the Boxyluxe it is the only one I get that month. I hope this helps, it looks confusing to me with all the Boxyluxe & Boxycharm

I get you about your smell. I used to be very sight oriented, as most people are, but I’m going blind and have been for a few years but I’ve noticed that I’m sensitive to touch. No matter how cute clothes are, if I don’t like the fabric I can’t wear it. Half the time I get ready by feeling through the family laundry (all clean!) and find the texture of my clothes I’m looking for. I only use my sight to make sure I got the right one

I’m definitely a visual person. I pay SO much attention to detail (because I’m a Virgo) that it’s insane, sometimes I shock myself with how much I notice things. I have dry skin too and I do a clay/charcoal mask every week. I use the clay mask, exfoliate, and then use a moisturizing mask like the glossier moon mask or the skin food coconut mask (although I’m switching to non-toxic beauty products right now so I need to find a non toxic dupe). I end up with really smooth skin and it made a huge difference for me!

Smell is mine too!! I did the exact same thing you did when I opened the tarte lip gloss today. I think it is a blessing and a curse because when it's something that smells bad..oh jeez I cover my nose instantly, cause I can not. And the other day was freezing here in Miami, it was like 53 but it's been slowly getting warmer. Love the boxy charm videos btw, last month was my first box and it was because of your videos! Hey Kathleen, just a tip for those super rough wooden lip liners, apply a bit of lip balm on your lips before going in with the lip liner to make the application smoother! I'm such a sniffer too 😂😂 I always smell things before everybody else, they think I'm crazy, then they'll finally smell it 10 seconds later. I guess that's why I crave different types of food so much; I smell it much more intensely 😂

I wasnt a big fan of the powder, it felt like it just sat on top of my skin and was really noticeable! Also I got a mini straighter instead of the palette, but after this review I'm glad I got the straighter lol Oh and yea the lip was really rough on my lips like the color was really good but it hurt to put on lol

I did not get eyeshadow palette. I got a mini hair iron (travel size). I trust your sense of smell. I did not notice the dry shampoo until you mentioned it. For school/work stuff I am audio/visual but for the artistic/hobby/fun stuff I use my smell to inspire me (smell of wood and paint for small home projects, smell of fragrances for holiday/vacation/social engagements; smell of wind and earthiness for hiking, smell of beach for...and yeah I’m getting carried away so I will stop now)
