This year....... I’m using it as a use it up, For journaling, 3 gratitudes a day. Lots and lots of hanging at home. Our 4 year old granddaughter had a drive by birthday. They also had a drive by Santa in their town which turned out quite well.

Every time I see you pull up your sleeves I think, “Ok everyone, Gayle is getting down to business now!! No telling what great ideas she will come up with!” I love how the stuffed pocket looks on the front inside cover! Cute! I’m so glad you get to see your son! I hope it takes the sting out of not having everyone together for Christmas. I understand how you feel! We haven’t seen our daughter and her family and our youngest son and his family for a year either! It hurts and makes me sad because we are missing our grandkids so much. And our youngest is about your Bucky’s age and like you we have missed his growing up the first year except for face time. But we keep on persevering don’t we! I was going to do a December daily but this Etsy store has kept me busy so I am thinking of doing a New Years daily! I guess we will see.

Adorable journals as always! I’ve been working on Christmas cards to mail, using many techniques from journal making. Recently, someone told me that journals were like a “pop-up book for grownups “, as every page has something interesting to look at! I thought that was so sweet and such a nice compliment.🥰

I’m using my December Daily as a holiday/winter-themed art journal and glue book, collecting holiday images I want to keep. Last night, I collaged a page using only Christmas washi and adhesive gift tags. I collaged another page with the various types of gift wrap I’ve been using to wrap presents this year.

I also have been experiencing that short term “what did I want to do” 2 minutes ago syndrome! I love the way this journal is coming together ... so very pretty. My December Daily entries are short just one page bolstered with some pictures, grateful thoughts & ephemera. 🤔 I wonder how many people started journaling. Think the times, and season, are such that a whole lot of us former non-journalers, like myself, put down our scissors and glue for a couple of minutes to take the pen at hand in an attempt to focus more on the positive. And it is all your doing Gayle. Well, maybe not all but you sure are a huge part of the process. Oh, and yesterday’s avocado entry got replaced. Turned out I am more grateful for the laughs, learnings and encouragement from my KZbin friends. Go figure 🤗❤️

So thankful you are going to spend time with your son. I haven’t seen mine in over a year. He and his wife are coming for Christmas but staying with her sister. My daughter is opposed to them coming over. I may have to buck her and see them anyway. I feel we can’t quit living. Some things outweigh the risk. His wife works from home but he has to go into his office. I’m pretty sure they are required to wear mask. My daughter being a director and RN at our hospital has seen this virus first hand. She is very worried about me. I told her when my time comes no amount of isolation is going to help.

Hi Ceri, i've been crafting for 3 years now, when my Mum passed away I needed a distraction. The first year I stumbled on Gayle's junk journal videos and boy has she been a God send. Don't worry about what your journal looks like, just put your heart into dear friend it will be fantastic for sure. You just keep trying. we're all going to come through this with God's help. I have two December dailies: one a regular journal and the other a mini size. I had pre done the full size with pockets glued in on pages. I have a two page spread for each day. I had decided to have as a goal to try new techniques each day on a piece of 5 by 7 mixed media paper that I then glue on to the blank page. I’ve added tags to the pocket and jotted memories of the day on a piece of paper I put in the pocket. I’m using the mini journal to describe what crafting techniques and products I use for that day. I’m liking this so far.

Really nice video. May I suggest on that envelope you folded but left unglued you use your stamp with the lines on it, stamp it lightly as a suggestion for the buyer only and maybe light decorating on the flaps. Just a thought. Thanks

I’ve never done a December daily. I only heard about them for the first time last year. I’m one of those people who’s not a journaler, I just like to make them and sell them. Mine would be so boring. It would be “watched KZbin videos, went to Walmart for food, went to Target for the food I couldn’t find at Walmart, went to the Post Office, drove through In-N-Out Burger to get a burger for lunch, came home, tried to clean my craft room, found stuff to purge and list on Facebook Marketplace and eBay. Answered a thousand stupid questions from people on Facebook Marketplace who never show up to pick up an item when they say they are.” Those are my days. I do have a mammogram scheduled for the end of the week, that’s exciting except I’m not thrilled about going into the medical offices with sick people, hopefully there won’t be sick people in radiology.

Gayle never has this many ads in her videos, so I am sure she'll fix this. But I have a hack for you. If you start a video and you see by the little yellow dots in the red line that there are a lot of ads, just move the red dot to the end of the video and then rerun the video. Most of the ads will be gone!

Gayle, I’m really enjoying your videos. I am getting ready to make my first junk journal out of a cereal box which is 1.5” wide. What should the width and length be? And, how many signatures can I fit in there with how many pages each? Thanks, for your help!

I like 9 x 6 inch journal because an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper fits perfectly. I’d do maybe three signature of 10 to 15 pages each depending on how heavily you are going to decorate. If you’re going to decorate heavily include less pages. Hope that helps! ❤️
