I'm so glad that Martha signed her beautiful journal. I cannot stress enough how important it is for crafters to sign whatever they do, be it journals, quilts, embroidery, woodwork, whatever. So much of our history has been lost when women of the past were told their handmade items weren't 'important' enough to be signed. Even Jane Austen's name didn't appear on her books originally!

Hi Gayle, loved everything. Thank you for sharing people's work and their shops. I have a question about the jeweled Design shop. It is Jolene and Laurette. You had shown some beautiful tags that Laurette made but I don't see anything like that in the shop and cannot see previous sales which makes me wonder if Laurette has a separate shop from Jolene. In the jeweled Design shop there is only digital available. I love her stuff and would like to be able to find it. Thank you.

Laurette’s shop is in the Featured Item space of Jolene’s shop, AJeweldDesign. She lists things as she as them ready. I know she’s taken a bit of time off for the Thanksgiving holiday, so that’s why she has no inventory. She sells out really quickly. Put your notifications on for the shop and you should see when she lists more items. Hope you are able to grab some!! ❤️

Gayle, a ? for you. I have a bagful of old receipts and papers from my grandmother and my dad. Would it be appropriate to use them to make a journal for me and my family? They are just in my cabinet and I’m sure they would just be thrown away when I’m not here anymore. I’m 76 and oldest of 6 and remember so much about what these papers say and mean. Well....at the risk of offending.....one day I was going to use a No. label. I had to pass by No. 1 and No. 2...potty reference. I know, I know, sometimes my humor level is about at 7th grade! 🥴❤️
