I read to both my babies every day and my now 7 year old reads at a 5th grade level and has asked for books and blank notebooks for story making for Christmas instead of toys! Even my Autistic non verbal 5 year old daughter loves looking at books all day. Over the years I’ve kept baskets and bookshelf nooks in different rooms around the house to encourage them to look at books. 📚

I’m sure you’ve already thought of this - but be sure none of your neighbors have nut allergies before giving anything made with peanut butter! My husband is super allergic and makes a point not to touch nuts at all. The idea of giving neighbor gifts is so so thoughtful! I love your generous and joyful spirit ❤

Loved your video! I am the youngest of 10 and My favorite Christmas memory was opening the door to my find my oldest brother had come home for a surprise visit when he was in the service. He was stationed in Hawaii and we didn’t think he was going to be able to make it home. The whole family and extended family was so excited and it was just a special memory filled with family, food and presents.

I find a Kindle is ideal for nursing because you only need one hand to use it! Also it is backlit so when you nurse in the middle of the night you don't need a light to read a book!

I have a genuine question that I've always been curious about: what makes a date (for date night) different than any other outing one does with their partner? For example, what makes a dinner for 'date night' different than any other dinner either made at home for you two or going out to a restaurant, cafe, etc? Or going to the movies, a picnic, for icecream on 'date night' than any other day or night of the week? 🧐 i'm eager to have the confusion sorted out in my head to be more intentional as well. I have found reading very difficult as an adult and especially as a mom because I have a hard time giving my attention to it, I think I feel a little guilty to not be productive too, but it’s something I really miss and hope to return to as my son gets older. We read to him a lot also and he hated it as a newborn 😂 but he LOVES reading now at age 3
