We'll do well to go back, from time to time, to listen to the great masters , like O. S. Thyagaraajan. This is quality singing and pakkavaadhya accompaniment, especially from Naagaraajan. Basics need to be reinforced n strengthened.

One needs to clarify my earlier comments. By listening to seasoned singers , e. g. Thyagaraajan , some principles become clearer. The violinist accompanies very well.

Sri. Tiruvarur Bhakthavatchalam senior vidwan why sruthi goes off to his Mirdangam instrument quite often in most of the concerts. ?? The Thaniyavardhanam is TOO LONG around 30 minutes in 2hour.12 CONCERT .Its unfair. He doesn't know kalapramanam for this?? Sri.OST COMMENT IS not correct. It's a concert platform and he can say he likes Saint Tyagaraja much than others it's ok. But his STATEMENT is wrong Tyagaraja is a very divine composer & highly respectfable musician NO DOUBT. There several forerunners before Saint Tyagaraja. Why should he compare to other divine people. Purandara Dasa is considered to be the father of Carnatic Music, as he formalized the music system which was a blend of various traditions of South India and the musical science as explained in the Vedas. He devised a system of teaching Carnatic music in graded lessons. Purandara Dasa identified 84 ragas. Purandara Dasa is said to have composed around 475,000 songs, in Kannada and Sanskrit of which only about 1000 survive. All are great genious.. you shouldn't differentiate like this.. no one is lesser than anyone.
