Poor Kevin 💜💜 Hope he feels better!! I have Born For Silk on my kindle and ready, it just sounds so interesting!! Adding The Darkness we Hide for the same reason. Just so different and interesting sounding. Great video!

He’s doing better! We got the medication re-dosed and the side effects went away 🙌 he’s been such a trooper! You have to tell me everything when you get to them!! I want to hear everything! 🩷 both are such fresh stories!

That's so funny! I read the WITSEC series in December as well. They got me out of a reading slump because I could just quickly binge them- but had the exact same issues you did. 😂 I want to read so many of these books! Under the Oak Tree, the Liv Zander duets, and Born for Silk. I hope Kevin feels better, poor guy! 💗

They would be the perfect books for a slump! They are engaging with the stalker issues popping in and issues at school, it keeps you reading. Well tell me what you think when you read them! I want to know what your experience is like!! He’s on the upswing!! He’s eating and keeping food down 🙌 such a relief! His vet is amazing 🥰

Nicci Harris wrote on of my favorite books, His Pretty Little Burden. The audiobook was amazing, hearing Shane East growl, tell me to stop.🔥🔥🔥

Great video!!! I got Under the Oak Tree, the graphic novel for Christmas and can't wait to read it. I've been on the fence to start king of flesh and bone from Liv Zander. I typically read dark romance (I'm currently devouring The Edge of Darkness trilogy by Leigh Rivers) so \i may pick it up after. Mood reader ways lol

You're have to tell me what you end up thinking of Under the Oak Tree! I bet the graphic novel is just gorgeous. I feel your pain with mood reading 😆 something sounds amazing one second and later that day it doesn't. Leigh Rivers is an author I keep thinking I need to read something from. I saw the cover of Insatiable was intrigued, definitely need to read something from her this year! Especially if you're burning through the trilogy, always a good sign!

@@TheBookBaron I read little stranger by her last year and thought it was alright. It didn't wow me, so I was a little worried going into this one. The first book has the miscommunication/withholding info trope (which I don't mesh with) but the story was good enough to keep me going. The second book is WOW! Action, spice, trying to figure out who is where and why. It's a good time. I'm currently on number 3. Bittersweet but I need to know how this ends. I'm in love with the MMC and his Dad for that matter lol. Mood reading is wild and crazy and I love it.

@courtneybrush4353 see that’s a compelling read. If you can see the flaws or it has something you dislike and still want to read it! That’s a book worth reading!

I felt your frustration with Chained Hands. I get the same way. *lol* The number of books that seem to play into making a female character seem naive to the point of being a complete dumb ass, is mind-boggling. I can see most times it's one to contrast the darkness of male counterpart. However, there are ways to do that without making the female seem like she has 2 barely functioning brain cells. ;) I've read Redemption and I remember thinking att times it didn't seem like some of the passages were from the same book if that makes sense. Also, I don't really enjoy the "plug and play" parent situations. IMO, like you said, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I think the mafia ones I read from her were a bit better. I don't recall there being in 5 stars from me though she has some interesting ones... I didn't read as much in December and it was mostly shorter books. Nothing exceptional, but mostly enjoyable. Sidenote: I don't know why I keep reading Ali Hazelwood's books thinking I'll enjoy them. Cruel Winter was one I read in December. It's a free novella with Prime. Yeah, do not recommend. Her heroines are always supposed to be so intelligent, or so we're told, but none of them seem to have common sense and are mostly, completely oblivious. I could go on about this all day so I'll stop. I had more comments on the other books, but I was folding laundry at the same time. ;) Also, that's probably enough blathering. Great vid as usual. :D

Right?! Like I know you want the hero to seem dark and conniving, but anything will feel big and bad compared to this goldfish brained heroine 🤣 Yeah I'm with you on Redemption! But I'll have to check out her mafia romances because it's clear she can write dark and gritty and I want more of that! I feel your pain! I keep thinking I'm going to like certain authors because everyone else does so surely I'll find something of their's that I like. Nope! It never works out. But I feel like I've heard just terrible things about that entire novella series which is really sad cause those are some popular names and I know a lot of people were excited for at least one of the novellas 😬 Common sense is a key requirement for heroine's I hate when they feel intentional obtuse! Well glad I could keep you company while you knocked out some chores 🥰
