We have talked in previous videos about blockchain technology and its evolution, but its true significance and potential can only really be understood in the context of broader technological change brought about in the ongoing evolution of the internet and information technology.
Today powerful new technologies are coalescing to take us into a new technological paradigm, these include the rise of advanced analytics coupled with datafication and the Internet of Things, the blockchain will have to work synergistically with these if the true capacities are to be realized.

Blockchain is merely a subset of a technology called Distributed ledgers. some others include Block-DAGs, Tangle, Block-Lattice, Hashgraph.

yes, but the word Blockchain is more catchy than Distributed ledgers. To me Distributed ledgers would be just as interesting but for most people it wouldn't be seen as "too advanced" because of the boring name

The developpment of a more decentralized world is still reliant on physical infrastructures (cables and satellites). What are your thoughts on that aspect of decentralization (do you have a paper or video on that?)?

For sure physical infrastructure is important also, but that is part of it, by building the right protocols you can use people's end devices as network infrastructure through mesh networking, this is part of what Protocol Labs are doing with IPFS, see here kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIOmqI16h9yeapo

Blockchains are actually very useful in this era but it also has some fallouts also it does not protect the data intrinsically this leads to data leakage.. #trias is one of the companies which solve the problems of data leakage it contains three layers of protection. They have come up with decentralized saas that is D-saas they have a solid team with the top-norch academic and industrial background isn't it that cooll...!!!!One should definitely try this😎👍

completely agree except that internet of things will probably be limited, as its a wet dream that would cause irradiation damage. the future I see if humans is to be in better health is closer to nature and local food production, and ofc extreme high-speed internet by cable at every home
