Ahh great music choice. Love Seeing this style incorporated into sparring!

Thanks, yeah, I'm happy to have had the chances to showcase it in sparring. Speaking of music choises, I just uploaded a Shorts (Same as the Instagram reel) with Surf Wax America by Weezer, hopefully it does not get flagged as it's a Shorts. I am also uploading as a test a long video with 3 cover/live versions of songs taken from videos (nothing released as albums), hopefully they will pass thru, or if it gets a demonetization at least it does not get blocked... i wanna use that music for a compilation titled June Moves, with not just martial arts, but other types of training as well (parkour and martial arts mostly)

Thanks, I'd love to do more, prob record some more around spring or summer next year... maybe some fan on my Bob dummy, but it's getitng cold and earlier dark and I work and am a parent so not easy. :) Have you watched all the videos from the clips in this one? They're in the Weapon Sparring playlists, also got a few fan tutorials. :) Hope you're subscribed, I'll keep creating and sharing martial arts weapon content, as well as self defense scenarios, Kung Fu in MMA, all kinds of stuff :)

hii, i mastered gunsen month ago, i want to leave tips to you! when youre using an opened fans, try to combine this position of fingers: Thumb in the back fan alone Index finger on the hollow part between the end of the ribs and all the other fingers holding the front rib its quite hard to explain without picture, but these finger placement really help to stabilize the fan when you attack, and its make the fan quite hard to close, so then you can attack the opponent without scared of your fan being closed

oh andd don't pass your fan too much to your other hand because the enemy can easily disarm you

@@Xhio_sja yea that was more ART than MARTIAL, Jackie Chan inspired:) Appreciate the feedback though:)

I always saw them many times in computer games like Double Dragon Neon and wondered what they were all about! Thanks for giving me the answer! 🙂
Im curious! Will you ever make another fan sparing? But i have challage, what about dual fans?

I'm definitely down for doing another. I am currently relying on old sparring footage for the sparring content (I still have stuff that hasn't been shown), as I've yet to arrange a meet up to record sparring this year, with everything that's been going on. When I do arrange a meet up for sparring, I am very much hoping to finally record some sparring with a custom made chair made to be used safely as an improvised weapon for self defense sparring... been planning to do that for a long time. Maybe some more fan sparring after, could be :)

@@ZenDragonKZbinChannel thanks, i really thanks u for that! Its hard to learn tessen/kung fu fan when we literally have no inspiration. And.. you make it! Im glad you found fans interesting, love u!

@@Adhio I have done close to 600 videos, many of them Kung Fu focused (I also trained a bit of Krav Maga and MMA, but even my MMA style is heavily Kung Fu influenced)... so I'll bet there's more here that can inspire you. Let me know what you wanna see, sparring with animal styles or particular Kung Fu weapons or what? If I've done it I'll link it :)

You know what dude I am going to a Japanese festival this summer and I am bringing a fan with me. But the kung fu fan you’re talking about. It is pretty convincing! But another thing I want to tell you about is your skills are pretty awesome I bet. But in reality, kung fu does not really suck. When it comes to how amazing the experiences and so forth, I do think your skills are pretty rare and excessive for how people train and so forth, but you are a great sifu after all. And by the way, I bet you can teach your final students in your country and America 🇺🇸

Thanks brother. Good to see you in the commetns again. It hasn't been that much weapons content lately, and I've been combining some parkour footage with some martial arts in some videos, as it's a new passion of mine... but there'll always be a diverse mix of martial arts content including various weapons :)

cool toy ! But its not the right age to play with these
@ZenDragonYoutubeChannel4 ай бұрын
Haha :p No reason to ever grow too old to play :p Mind you, some of these techniques are just flash, a good portion of what I do in the forms and some of the stuff in sparring to entertain, but nonetheless, the fan is lethal if it's a non training version designed for combat with sharpened edges... or if it's the sparring one or just a regular one that's a bit sturdy it's as effective as many other everyday objects which cna be used as improvised weapons. Some of the techniques, like in the form, trapping the wrist then delivering a knee, or thrusting to the throat, striking to the side of the temple etc, are for sure effective. :)
