Hello guys what kind of string that best for slicing, hard feeling or soft feeling string? Thick or thin string?
@BadmintonFamly

Good question, my choice would be hard feeling but most to strings are very alike actually. The thicker string would “grab” the shuttle more I believe but not 100% certain of this answer 🤣💯

Hi dood : ) . First of all i wann say that i love to follow your channel. Most of the stuff i know alreasy but in moments where im not aware of some details im very thankfull to be able to add somthing to my knoladge : ) its like finding a long missing pice in the puzzle : ) In this video you described the arm writst racket movement and it should be a lot for people who wanna first try the shot and get some experience with it. Im missing out on a lot of details on that shot and a have a crapton questions. Is this shot for singles or doubles (deception) when is deception usable in doubles, do you need to hit the shutle over the head or in front of the head. what happens if you hit thi shuttle left from your body, would you try to get it in the rising period of jump or at highest point or at the falling phase, how does strong rotation of sholder (upperbodyrotation you know what i mean i hope ^^) influence the shot, would you use the shot when you return a punchclear or only when you have more time, is there a way to add this shot to your forhandrepertuar as well. I can probably find more questiens. Bla bla bla i love your content more more more : )
@BadmintonFamly
@BadmintonFamly 5 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for all the text 🙃 1: Amazing to hear you like our stuff, we really work hard making it as good as possible. 2: The shot/technique can be used in singles and in doubles. In the doubles it can also be used to place a drop shot in the middle of the court so it will be tricky for the opponents to know who should take it. 3: Hit the shuttles just a bit in front of your head to be able to get the right angle on the shot. If you hit it further back there is a bigger chance that the shot will be to high and to slow. 4: You can hit it in a jump yes or moving to the side, the shot is really good in all places. you can also hit a straight shot instead of a cross one. 5: You can hit it like I do with very small and explosive movement using the fingers more, or you can add a extra swing to it, it also depends on the time you have in the shot like you say. I like the small movement because the deception gets bigger. 6: Yes the shot can be used in the forehand side but I would only use it straight, it won't be good to try to hit it cross from the forehand side, I mean it can be done but maybe better to use a normal cut 😎 Hope you can use these answers a bit, good luck practicing it on your own 💪🏻

Isn't that the same as this drop shot? Only difference I see is he is in a China jump to the right rear corner so if he hits the basic drop, drop will land cross court. But if he reverse slices, drop will end up rightward i.e. straight

Is it optimal to stay up high with you elbow and racket after the shot instead of following through? Not questioning you technique, just feels kinda stiff and less deceptive when everything stops so suddenly. Probably wouldn’t feel the same if I was standing on court though, but I was just wondering. (Edit) Watching it again, It kinda felt different between all the shot so maybe i overanalyze someone trying to exaggerate for teaching purposes. But question can still remain. Follow through and let the speed of the shuttle decrease solely by the slice, or stop your motion a little and slice it too?
@BadmintonFamly
@BadmintonFamly 5 жыл бұрын
Its up to you, but i like to hit this shot with a smaller and quicker movement to get a greater deception. You can see in the clips where i move i take down my racket more than when i stand still👍🏻

You should focus on a net block or push rather than a full clear/lift. Better to get the shuttle tight over the net than have a weak lift. Once your comfortable returning the shot at the net you can practice a lift/clear return.

hariom pawar also I think the main deception in the slice drop is that your body posture suggests a straight shot. With a cross court drop you do not disguise your posture, so your body is rotated to face the diagonal drop.

@tars3249
@tars3249 5 жыл бұрын
ZH T one is a slice motion the other involves more direct contact on the shuttle by changing the angle of the racket. I think the crossdrop is more consistent and accurate personally. The slice is all about deception. Both are highly effective in use :)
@parispoliton
@parispoliton 5 жыл бұрын
In which situation would I use the stick hit instead of this shot? They both seem to have slower speed compared to smash of course. And if a stick hit isnt deceptive and not fast the opponent can get to the shuttle quickly while with the deception at least you can trick them a little bit. Hope my question/comment makes sense. Cheers
@BadmintonFamly
@BadmintonFamly 5 жыл бұрын
The stick is like you say more quicker stroke and typical lands further into court. If you can master the power smash, the stick and this deception cut, and can they look like each other then you are rocking the court 🤘🏻

@ant7433
@ant7433 5 жыл бұрын
For fitness you can do a mixture of strength and cardio conditioning. 1. Maybe for starters do 4 sets of front and back footwork. Start from the back and run up and touch the net with your racket and then shuffle backwards until your feet touch the end line. Do this 10 times equals 1 set. As you get faster and stronger you can force yourself to finish within 50 seconds and increase your total sets to 8. 2. Jump rope start with 2 sets of 100 with no time limit. Then do 50 skips as fast as possible. 3. For strength training do squats and pushups. You’ll need squats for lower body and pushups for upper body. Idk your size and weight so you should vary that accordingly
