Here’s the thing, this tier list and explanation is fine but it’s definitely odd for me - the only team that greatly suffered from this is Attack agent. Their field time is not that long especially Zhu yuan so you have to switch your whole mindset on how you play the game with a Stunner Support Attack team composition. I don’t mind it since I play for fun and everyone will get their share on field so this change will make me enjoy the game more if anything - Stunner and Support agents would not be downgraded by this change, because their sole mission is in their buff and core passive, not dmg and ult like attack agent. So granting them an ult will be a bonus boost for them - Defense team will just be fine. Seth is the only one I feel will most likely not gain benefit much since he’s more of a support agent than defense and his animation is too damn long for time based fighting. Ben massive Def to Atk converter and Caesar daze will definitely gain benefit from this decibel change - Lastly, anomaly agents COULD. NOT. CARE. LESS about this change. Why? If you play anomaly team you know that leveling your skill level make little to no difference in dmg deal by anomaly build up, it’s all about core passive and anomaly proficiency. So an ult to an anomaly agent is just a slightly heavier EX special, nothing significant. That is also why you can spam ult with anomaly team and forget about dazing because anomaly and disorder have one of highest decibel rate in the game, if you can apply anomaly to 5 small enemies, you basically about to hit 3000 decibel

I think your idea for attack characters is way too broad for their on field time. Characters like Zhu Yuan and Corbin aren’t necessarily the same as Ellen and Soldier 11. I do see where you are coming from but I also believe it depends on the shared decibel gain rates if it’s 1 to 1 it’s not gonna change too much but anything lower will be an issue. Support and Stunner~ all characters can do damage in this game don’t underestimate how much damage support characters can pump out the reasoning is why people don’t invest into these characters nearly as much as they should. As for the ultimates themselves support is all around busted no negatives while stunners will be a bit harder you use since you will need to time them to get the most optimal usage. Like if I was speed running 90% of my time restarting probably would be trying to figure out their ultimate timing which I dread the idea of. Also you mentioned Seth not gaining much due to a longer ultimate I can under that point of view honestly I don’t recall the actual time for his ultimate but I will look into his rotation a bit more once the patch drops Finally for anomaly one thing you fail to mention for anomaly is they have the best ultimate generation in game them getting access to ultimates further solidifies their rotations since they will have more chances to quickly build up anomaly effects to the point setups now may be playing off the 3 second ICD at all times and your rotations is based on that rather than combos. The ultimate damage itself isn’t what you care about. This also may just remove anomaly mastery from setups all together for other options. Still yet to be figured out but just food for thought.

Dude, piper ult is never used, its weak and 10 thousand times better using Burnice ult, or even Caesars, which btw adds a lot of daze for attacks, making her an even better stunner

Not to mention it's also very slow AND forces you into an uncancellable animation.

​@cronqvist5763 both true statements but you can switch to another character while she does it, it'll serve a purpose for overwhelm interrupt but that's about it.

I think damage should be take into account too, like Caesar having both the benefits of having high multiplier and taking advantage of her own buffs. Every character technically can be build for damage now but supports and caesar are the ones that have stronger ults by default just because of the buffs. In short, rich get richer... and caesar too.

i don't get it about what you said about stunners, why'd you assume the stage is cleared after only one enemy stun? not everybody can clear the stage that fast, especially on SD or tower.

Was talking from my personal shiyu defense experience. I don’t have any units above M0 so it’s not like I’m a super whale or anything either so I expect those with good to decent investment to be at this level. As for tower I can’t say too much on that because I ran anomaly personally and got barely one stun on enemies since I didn’t run a stunner. But as I mentioned in the video as long as we are able to get multiple stuns in this won’t be an issue. But in fights where it’s only one it’s not too great

Man I need to re do both my ellen ice and zhu dps team 😢 I would like to see an updated guide for those teams before 1.4 (rn i have miyabi and yanagi, miyabi with her w engine, so i just have one great team)

My support Lucy uptimate can deal three 150-200k each hit Since her buff only scale on 2.5-3k attack at most My lucy have inferno set 2.5k attack ,40% crit rate and 143% crit damage

I played enough genshin to know how this will turn out. Making teams smaller and focusing them around the core simplified combat system and enabled PVE to have semblance of mechanics as well as more reactionary gameplay. Decibel change is a big step toward heavy rotation meta, dps checks and hp sponge balance. It puts more emphasis on characters as well as the infamous rng itemization in yet another hoyo resource-stricken game. The whole gameplay already feels like an improved, neverending abbys run experience. I may understand why hoyo would push that change(banner favorism and fomo) but I don't get why players want to turn this into something they are very likely familiar with. I simply see no reason to play two games that feel the same.

Because you dont play them the same. The new system isn't going to force you to ult all the time, it's only making for fun gameplay. Essentially allowing more combo instances of dmg instead of just bland solo slashing. I look forward to using burices ult into yanagi ex special/b atk combo/ult. Honestly it seems to be good for both playstyles.

I didnt know ultimats did all of that cuz i never bothered to read the ults of anyone but my main dps. Great video i learned a lot.

You don't mention how this change is potentially a detriment to some agents. Typically characters like zhu yuan, corrin, or even anton want to stay off field until the enemies are stunned, which means they aren't going to be building as much decibels as others.

That will depend on if the gain is spread 1 to 1 or at a lower rate. I can’t speak on that part for now

True. Decibels are gained as: on field 100% and off field gets 50%. That being said either using a few b atk combos on your atk when cycling will probably be the way to play. That or, atk char will have almost enough at when enemy gets stunned. Chain attacking as much as possible with your dps will also probably be good generator. Also keep in mind all char actions give a varying degree of Decibels, dodge counters/parries/chain/ex special dumps are the best generators. Tldr weave zhu yuan atks in your stun build up window for more consistent gains.

Well, not all characters are having good ultimate damage in general but using 3 ultimates after you stun the enemy and causing high damage this is actually good. This option could been added since day one.

Agreed. Especially when support ults give free energy and this adds potential for party buffs gained via ult. Closest and only one we have (but still doesn't) is Rinas Res %, which we all know is passive and is thrown up for any action.

you still don't,and high chance won't. right now non of character depends on thier ult, ult are ussualy used as part of burst rotation not basic rotation aka use in your rotation when it is ready not in evry rotation. And devs want to keep same way they just want give oportunity to use ult of buffers and stunners, as right now only dps use them.

​@@islamsalimzhanov4399 nah there rebalancing hp/Def of enemies. Won't be too drastic but all it means is chars like Anby will have a ult for quicker 2nd break, supports will actually feel like supports (nicole can finally use her ult grav bomb ❤). People could still play the old way if and have slight difficulty increase if they want to stick to 1 ult. It's just going to make combat more engaging/fun and honestly I hope they do make it more difficult. Yanagi/burnice just destroy everything and miyabis going to damn near make the comp omni, unless enemy is fire/shock/frost resistant to 90%.

Ceaser is niche 😅 I guess in terms of ultimate but she outperforms other characters due to her other abilities I do agree teams will have to consider support characters

Mate it’s 30 free energy for your dps and only 2ish seconds longer than average. I don’t think those extra few seconds would detrimental considering that it directly helps the dps use more EX specials resulting in more damage overall per rotation.

Because you don't consider her personal damage output and have not built her well. She deals alot of anomaly and ice dmg as the same time as buffing your main dps. That extra 2 seconds of her doing her aoe tornado is worth it
