Yes that was every bit as farcical as the infamous 1992 semi-final and should have been the waterloo for DLS. Alas the ICC have their head in the sand and insist on playing the emperor's new clothes over and over with DLS. A proper target in that situation would have been 86 runs off those last 5 overs, losing no more than 1 wicket. This would have been similarly difficult to the situation the chasing side were in going into the interruption. It must be remembered, the defending side were well and truly in the box seat, and a victory to the chasing side was unlikely, but still not totally impossible. DLS's subsequent target made it totally impossible and therefore should be considered a monumental failure.

Simply ICC or cricket management board of that country should organize the matches properly... at least world Cup matches properly and don't choose that country for world Cup matches where it rains now we have technology for various things then we should use it and avoid disturbance in matches by rain or any other problems

It is often idiotic yes. When both innings run their natural course, the chasing side wins a miniscule fraction under 50% of the time. When DL is used the chasing side wins 63% of the time. This alone is proof that DL targets are often too generous to the chasing side.

But you havent explained how the targets are calculated or what simple or complicated formula is used. DL/DLS is just a fucking method need to be abolished. Its the biggest rubbished. How can a team which was supposed tp chase at a Runrate of 4 in case of a full game now need to chase at a runrate of 6 or 6.5 in case of DLS. What rubbish even if the overs are reduced why not follow the simple rule of jst reducing the target to based on run rate scored by the 1st team. Then its fare for the 2nd team as they have managed to restrict the batting team to play slow by good bowling. Plus due to rain the pitch becomes slow and who garuntees that even if you have 10 wickets in hand you can chase easily 6 to 7 runs per over even in a slow wicket. Its like unnecessary punishing the team bowling 1st for a good cricket
