I told God that I decided to believe what's in the Bible until I could believe. And one day, several months later, there came a moment when I lifted my head and all of a sudden I did believe. You make a decision to believe and ask him to help you, you begin to study and be faithful to continue and ask him your questions and he will supply. His will is for you to be saved and born again. Man has no answers but the Bible actually does have all the answers.

Wow! God is faithful. It’s good when we lean not to our own understanding but instead we put our faith in knowing that if God said it, it is so. Lord help our unbelief.

I wonder if Derek told people to share his messages freely after he goes home ? I appreciate very much how they are put for free for everyone because there is another man of God who went home around the same time but few of his messages are shared freely … I’m sure it wasn’t because of that man’s decision though..God bless

Powerful teaching, gave me a few slaps, maybe I screwed up already. 🤷🏻♂️ But I still have questions
@GodsOath_com2 ай бұрын
Start reading the Bible and pray for understanding and God will provide. All the answers are in there in parable form. Ask him your questions, man has no answers, but God has all the answers. Purpose yourself you learn of Jesus in the Bible and the Bible will open unto you. Study to show yourself approved.

How do I forgive someone in practical terms? I’ve been wronged by many (most people in my life) and badly… I just decided to ‚will it‘ but when the thoughts of anger, helplessness, sadness and revenge return, then what?!

Here's an extremely important key to forgiving: Unforgiveness and hatred are related to a sense of unpaid debt, especially if the thing that another person owes us is something which we believe can't be obtained from anyone or anything else. One of the keys, then, is to establish God, not man, as our source of all things. Joseph in the book of Genesis had his life turned upside down when his brothers threw him into a pit and then sold him into slavery, yet Joseph maintained a good attitude even in the midst of his slavery and, later on, unjust imprisonment. Eventually, God was able to use his good-spirited service towards his masters to take him from slavery and the prison to being Egypt's second in command, and he was able to use God's wisdom in that position of authority to save Egypt, and his own family, from a coming famine. When he finally met his brothers again, this is what he said to them: "Joseph said to them, 'Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.' And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them" (Genesis 50:19-21 NKJV). By this time, it's clear that Joseph harbored no bitterness towards his brothers at all, because he knew that God used their evil deeds to position him to eventually become head of Egypt. Likewise, when we choose to forgive others in spite of their offenses, and we choose to serve God and glorify Him even in the mess we've been forced into, then that will position us for God to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28). But had Joseph chosen not to forgive his brothers, and if he instead tried to justify why he shouldn't have to obey his slave master, then I don't believe that he would have made it to God's destiny for him as head over Egypt. I've applied this to my own life. My father left my mother suddenly when my sister and I were little. For roughly twenty years now, I've never had the benefit of having an earthly father. I could have gotten bitter over it, and sometimes I do wish that I had a godly father figure to train me when I was younger and guide me today, but I know that God is able to turn anyone's life around if they'll just seek Him with their whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13). One of my favorite Scriptures which helps me stay merciful towards my father is Psalm 27:10, which says, "When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me." Because I remind myself of Scriptures like this one, I've never hated my father, and I even enjoy when he comes to visit because I depend on God to be the father that I never had. Now, I certainly could have avoided a lot of hardship and pain if I did have a godly earthly father, but I know that his absence doesn't determine whether I ultimately succeed in fulfilling God's plans for me. By the way, there are many other Scriptures which speak of God honoring and caring for the fatherless, widowed, poor, and other marginalized or lacking people. Here are a few: Deuteronomy 10:15-19, Psalm 12:5, Psalm 34:6, Psalm 68:4-6, Psalm 82:1-4, Psalm 146:8-9, Proverbs 23:10-11, Luke 4:18-19 I don't know who exactly has wronged you, but you, too, can lean on God's faithfulness and promises of provision in spite of the failures of others. It's a lie of the devil that anyone should have to forever limp through life because of what somebody else did or didn't do. 1 Corinthians 10:13 is proof of this: "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." What a promise! No matter what hardship we find ourselves in, God has promised to never let us face anything too hard for us to overcome. Of course, if some people wouldn't have wronged us, then we might have had it easier; but if we be like Joseph and choose to forgive, depend on God, and follow Him faithfully in spite of our losses, then we, too, will see Him totally restore us and do mighty things in us and through us! If this is true, which it is, then how could we not forgive even the worst offenders? If God is for us, then who can ultimately stand against us (Romans 8:31)? We've been justified by the blood of Jesus; therefore, God is more than willing to provide for us if we just trust in Him (Romans 5:6-11, Romans 8:32)!

Don't take it personal. Ppl are free to act how they want to be, even with you, it's not ur job to punish them, you have no right to punish anyone for doing you wrong. In my earlier times, I used "what reward is there if you speak only to your friends, even sinners do that" of Matthew an "be good to the wicked and the ungrateful, so that you CAN be children of your father in heaven, who is good to the wicked and ungrateful" of Luke (Im using GNB actually). I used to call offense the "love tests" and try to pass all of them, although sometimes you won't have wisdom and ul get stuck but if you keep trying God will help u. Let the Spirit lead you though, love and forgive does not mean become a people pleaser so they see ur not bitter. And don't be too quick to dismiss anger, I've notice that nowadays that less things offend me but if I'm deeply wounded my prayer would be something in the line of "God I am angry and I'm guessing it's cos of xxxxx, I'm not asking you to take this anger away, I'm asking you to help me not to let it stop me from avenging myself or stop me from serving you today and doing my chores. Thank you that ur faithful. Thank you that I've allowed it to happen to me, and thank you that accordiyto Rom 8 v28 this also you will work out for my good". Usually after a prayer like this I'd discover along the day that the feeling disappears, I do this with all negative emotions, I don't ask him to take them away cos they are part of the reality I'm going thru...but in love he does take it away 😊😊
