I have one.. I love it ..I have one installed in my 2015 ford transit 250 mid roof 139” … once it was installed, I immediately began to think I may have made a mistake because I bout the midroof so I could stand up.. I’m too old for bending over ,, but once I stepped inside the van, and put my sewer jetter on top and the hose reels .. it changed everything,, for 2 years my jetting equipment sits on top, my Milwaukee packout boxes are also on top .. the weight isn’t a problem. It hasn’t sagged or caused anything even after 2 years with 1500 pounds of stuff on top & the drawers still slide open and shut like new … it’s a quality product..

Just installed Decked in my 18 Ford F-150 in my “executive” version of a service truck. Installed a full bed rug then installed Decked. It’s a bit of a squeez but looks great and protects multiple computers, interfaces and small hand tools. Topped it with Armorflex tonneau cover and wow! Will order the tie down tracks and more boxes today. Perfect and best truck drawer system I could find. A real value in my opinion.

Just over a year with the Decked system in my 6' bed Colorado. I have a Softopper and it is water tight and very little dust. I get dust from blowing wind when parked, no dust when on the trails. The drawers hold all my recovery gear, all my camping gear. The floor is just above the wheel wells so you end up with more bed space, plenty of space for sleeping.

This is a great product. This would be incredibly popular with the electricians but the only issue is no room for their big spools of cable and what not if they have a tonneau cover. You should offer this in a half system (as in same lenght but half the width. That way they could put there things on the opposite side under the tarp cover.

I load tall equipment with handles and wheels under a just above cab camper shell and need the bed floor to shell height to accommodate this equipment so a half system with maybe a sturdy slider floor for the other half would be really helpful. Seems like old fashion side tool box will do the same. I did that with ladder racks no drilling system installing the side tool boxes on them. You still have a full open bed. Best idea I ever seen was a custom truck that had the rear fenders open to tools.

I just put one in my 2017 Tacoma TRD. I like it for the most part. The wheels are a pain to put on and makes it hard to take them all the way out if you need to now and then. Also,the drain plug is toward the BACK of the drawer. I may be missing something, but it seems to me the drain should be at the front of the drawer so when you drain, you drain outside and not into the bed of your truck. I sent the drain plug back as its not useful. Overall I think I'm going to like it for Overlanding. I can still sleep on top of it if I need to, although I can no longer sit up in the back.

You have to add a short extension chord to continue to use the outlet. No big deal....but add it BEFORE you install the Decked system. I have a Leer shell on it. I can still sleep back there but can no longer sit completely up.

@Ali M Hi Ali, Im around the same size. Honestly, if you have a shell (I have a leer with a slightly higher top), I think you would get tired of sleeping in there with the Decked system as you cannot fully sit up. I used my camper as a place to sleep for years without the system (and I could sit up). Being able to sit up makes a big difference in dressing, but also for just hanging out in there. For me, I dont want the tent on top of my truck all of the time. I also dont want to have to climb a ladder in the middle of the night. However, there are some popup camper shells that would work with the Decked system AND give you enough room to stand up in. They are going to cost you $8K or more though once you start adding windows, etc. So I have gone back to a tent for sleeping. I bought a four person that I can stand up in, and its perfect for one or two people. There are so many considerations though when you are talking about Full Time as an Overlander. The new Toyotas don't seem as reliable as they used to be, my brother bought a new 2017 Tacoma TRD two years ago and it started leaking oil within the first 1,000 to 2,000 miles. There were good sized puddles on the ground where he would park in the driveway, It was leaking for a little bit before he noticed, Toyota replaced a few engine parts I can't remember what, but I guess it was a common problem. My old Toyota pickup from the 90's I got almost 450,000 miles out of it all original.

Hey Anthony, could you elaborate a bit more? We love hearing from our customers for product feedback, but I am not certain I understand what you mean by side rails. The DECKED system is secured on each of the 4 corners directly to the factory tie-down points so you will never need to worry about the system moving or flipping out.

Better question is why did they not make what your calling the Ammo cans sealed . Seems like then not unless you have a tonneau cover things get wet ? Kinda lost me on that have they made changes to that ? Are they going to do that . I would think without increase of cost and something they should include as anyway. Just a thought.

The Ammo Can storage was originally just extra space. This can be storage for things that can get wet. Everything else goes in the Drawers!

What prevents someone from getting into the unlocked Ammo Can and disconnecting the fasteners in each corner, then removing the Deck?

The System can't come out all in once piece like that. They'd then have to disassemble both sides of the top deck as well. Essentially, you'd have to have installed a few Systems in your day to be able to successfully steal one (quietly no less) out of somebody's rig. We've installed dozens, but there's no way we could do it at night, and be quiet about it.

You said " no body makes the drawers come all the way out" now you know they do. They want way too much money so decked works for me right now.

I have a Decked system but haven’t installed it yet. I started and then realized the system seems to be for a Tacoma with a 5’8” bed and I have a 6’2” bed. I’ve been talking with your salesman and the dealer that I purchased it from. Do you guys just sale one size for the 5’8” and 6’2” bed. If so, why was I charged more if they are the same length? How much gap is between the tailgate and the decked system on the Tacoma. The one I received has about 5-6 inches between them which looks bad in my opinion. Thanks for any info!

Hi Marcus, we have two different models for the Tacoma short and long bed trucks. The 6'2" truck will need the MT6 DECKED system. Make sure you have the correct one before installation. NOTE: Because the long midsize DECKED system is 68", and the 6'2" Tacoma is the longest midsize truck bed on the market, there will be about 5" of empty space between the tailgate end of the DECKED system and the tailgate. Hey John, The DECKED locks are pretty simple CAM locks, which will keep honest folks honest. Since the DECKED locks are manual only, there is no chance for accidental unlocking, with possible access to your weapons, sporting equipment, etc. This is handy if you have kids or if you want to keep your service guys out of your drawers.

To be fair, lock your tailgate and you don't need the locks. Get good at Adult Tetris and you don't need the dividers. Work with animals on a forklift and you don't need rails as they will get hammered when loading pallets. Their options are useful, but you can live without them

It probably will not but the best way to check is to measure 12" up from your bed (every DECKED system is 12" in height). The amount of space you have left is what you have left to work with.

Hey Roland. All of our systems are 12" in height so if you measure up 12" from your bed, the amount of space left between there and your Tonneau cover will be how much space you will have for anything you haul. Without seeing it, we aren't quite certain but that seems like a tight fit.

Nice system, but not $1500-$1600 worth to me!! A $1000 tops, WITH all the "options" included. As they are shown in every ad as a cool feature in the system..they are not. They are simply options that you MUST BUY, or you simply have two drawers that don't lock. No cool boxes, deviders, locks, etc.. I forget the word you used, I believe it was "essentially". No such thing..either it's water proof or it's not..and none of this is. Simple as that. I can drive my roll up cover on my truck through a car wash, and get no water inside the bed. They don't claim it's water proof..because there is a chance it can get a little in there. Same with your product. (ALL weather is air born. Laugh!!) There is a nice wood system on line I can build like this. Sure it's not waterproof..but again..so what? And I can build it for under $400!! This is worth maybe twice that to ME. Because it's plastic, and the labor is included. Plus all the options that make it useful. Great video! Keep up the good work.

Hey there Scott. We do recommend pulling your drawers out every once in a while and power washing down your truck bed. The occasional debris can get between the system and the bed. The power outlet can still be used if you insert a flat head pigtail extension cord BEFORE you install the decks. Make sure to have the outlet capped to keep water out. A low profile pigtail such as one like this will work. One can install a weather proof cover over female end of the pigtail when not in use. As for the cubby, you may remove the storage compartment doors for limited access. Use will be compromised. NOTE: you must do this before you install the DECKED system into your Tacoma. I got a $12 dual usb / 12V outlet off e-bay and cut it in just behind the left ammo box, it too was HDPE plastic so it looks legit like it came from DECKED

Hey there! We do not have a full 8' drawer system. The reason for this is the law of physics. We couldn't create an 8' drawer, have it pull out far enough and still maintain a 200lb load rating/drawer with a 2000lb payload. We are working on a new Tool Box that will fill this cabside gap in most 8' trucks. Stay tuned for a release likely in early 2021. 🤟

@@Decked couldn't you make an extension that would continue the level floor instead of a toolbox? What I don't understand is couldn't you just change the ratio of length so that it still has the strength? One idea I had is that you could have something like the ammo can in the front but larger so that you could store or access bigger items. One thought I had is an air compressor by ARB in that space. Get creative? I'd really like to have the full use of my 8-foot bed completely level. I'm a farmer and volunteer firefighter and use my truck extensively. Thank you very much...

@@Decked another idea I had is if you have the cutouts in that front space like ammo cans that you could lift up, you could access the rear of the drawer if it was all the way up to the cab. I have to carry a lot of gear and I'm trying to get away with bad ergonomics. I hurt my back recently and I love the idea of your product. But I absolutely need a full-length flat floor for a number of things that I do with my truck. Thank you very much for your consideration and time...

@@fathertime209 we really appreciate all of your ideas and interest in DECKED. We have thrown around a few ideas here to make the cabside more usable. We are actually coming out with a crossover style toolbox early 2021 that will fill this space on most 8' trucks and have considered an extender. Thanks for reaching out. 🤟

Just had this installed in a 2019 f150. Had a rainstorm come through with about 1/4” of rain and now I have a good amount of water in both drawers. It was installed by a local decked authorized dealer so I will call them but do you have any ideas why the rain was able to get in?

Thanks. Called support and found out the local shop put the weather stripping on backwards. I fixed it and did a test with a hose and had no leaks. Hopefully I’m good now.

Are the add on rail systems able to mount anywhere on the deck or in a predetermined position only?

Hi Nathan, the system is HDPE in-molded to a steel frame. You will need to attach the rail systems to the steel frame. There are lateral dimples that indicate where the frame is.
