"Ala Akbar Taliban" + middle-eastern music + constant subtle hints at death. Notice how they didn't even formally introduce themselves. You just get the feeling that they're terrorists. That's #1 reason why I'm a Decker fan. Tim Heidecker doesn't talk down to you. He makes you deduce everything.

i think motorcycles are a bit much for the first eppisode, you cant go -blam- straight into choppers or the audience is going to be intimidated. i predict a tough-as-nails motor chase in eppisode 4 or 6 but thats the best thing about decker is that is is unpredictable

BetterOffDiggin It's not just that, months of his life were a lie. He lied to himself about what happiness means to him. Jackson Hole was false happiness and the darkest time of his life. He moved there to dodge responsibility and his true happiness, that he was too afraid to face. Fortunately he came to terms with his feeling, and lives a wonderful life with Ayaka and the little Tom Cruise Heidecker.

Wrong. Conflict sells. People treat sex as a forbidden pleasure that isn't even that good in retrospect. But violence and angst? It's always celebrated as both vice and virtue. In fact, people often justify conflict as character development. Any genuine moral orientation of said reason for episodic violence is glossed over. "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger" "Iron sharpens iron, so must men sharpen each other" Or my favorite: "Hard times creates strong men, good times makes weak men." Just goes to show humans are amoral antagony-loving lumps of flesh.
