We were visiting my mom in Nebraska and came across this old gas station that had been converted into a really creepy clown museum. There was a sign on the door that said "By appointment only" and had a phone number to call. My wife just wanted to leave, but I decided to call. The old guy that answers the phone sounded really gruff and angry at first. I mentioned I was at the clown museum and he got super excited and told us someone would be right there. My wife was really creeped out. A few minutes later a tiny old lady showed up. She was super sweet and gave us tour of the museum. She told us most of them came from people's families after they died. Then she asked us if we had any elderly family with clown collections they might want to donate. As it happened I do and have her there contact info.

I hope everything gets resolved with the strike brother. You've been of my favorite channels for a while and if you ever post videos on some other platform let the community know! Your work is awesome and I hope there is many more summer specials to come!
@DeckerShado2 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it will - copyright claims are at the end of the day, legal claims and as such the end of the road is not "oh well, deal with it" like a community guidelines "violation" but rather telling the claimant "prove it in court. Sue me, and reap the rewards if you will." - at which point they back off. They are legally required to show proof that they are actually taking me to court at that point, within 10 business days. KZbin takes their sweet time sending counter-notifications though, and counting to 10.. so those 10 business days usually become 3 to 4 weeks. The big issue to me is that I have the Scream 3 review scheduled soon, and Miramax does often go into strike territory. They didn't with my Scream 2 review, but they did with Scream 1 - and if I have 2 videos disputed to the point of potentially resulting in strikes I really can't safely dispute anything else no matter how wrong it is. I have a backlog of a couple hundred reviews with copyright claims on them, ads being paid out to all kinds of different entities, but the process of fighting them is so slow I'm effectively never going to be able to fight them all. My best bet is to simply make more content, and have more videos without copyright claims on them going forward than those with.
@CynicalHillbilly2 жыл бұрын
@@DeckerShado I can now see why it makes things so hard, that sounds miserable! Fighting one alone must be an issue to deal with but that many, holy shit. If you can prove how wrong they are and still get a strike, that is just beyond me. Well just know I appreciate all the work you do especially knowning that video may get stiked and not one else can see it. I try to help the algorithm as much as possible by watching your videos multiple times lol I really love your channel man and generally hope the best for it and you! @@DeckerShado Hmm, how I lo g for the wild west days of 2007 KZbin. I mean, I wish there was a way to have that level of freedom, and yet still be able to monetize. Once things become more standardized and mainstream, as good as those aspects are, they always come with lack of freedom as legal disputes and copyright claims start to filter in. Either way, I'm glad you are pushing through it - it shows a certain level of gumption one should be proud of, certainly.

@@Dirknesss There is nothing objectively wrong with a gun, no more than with a bow, or a knife. I bet you have at least one knife at home, yes? But unlike the bow, and to some extent the knife, it is far easier to accidentaly hurt yourself or others with a gun. Hence it is of vital importance to teach propper gun safety and handling. But you are essentially correct. Do not handle a gun unless you are meant to use it is one of the basics. And by "use it" i dont mean go and pop somebody, it might be hunting, target practice, cleaning etc. Never "Play" with a gun, even if it is for posing for a photo, it shows a lack of respect for it. Average watch time in the toilet, everyone just clicking off it immediately in disgust, only 10% of people making it to the end of the video. - but also a normal like to view ratio, 99.7% likes, and an above average comment to view ratio with overwhelmingly positive comments. Okay, Decker I gotta know. I'm a fellow long haired gentleman. But mine decides every 3 seconds it's gonna knot up in places I just brushed. My hairbrush looks like a small animal is caught in it. I use conditioner and it doesn't do shit. How do you prevent this as the Internet personality with the best hair?
@DeckerShado2 жыл бұрын
Real talk? I've spent quite a bit of time and money trying to get products for my hair that actually work - and this is a long, expensive road with many disappointments. Everyone's hair is different, so what worked for me may not work for you but with that disclaimer out of the way here's where I finally landed. Verb. That brand is a pricey one, but it has been AMAZING for actually doing something to combat frizzies and keep my hair looking nice. Now, there's the 5 things I use on a regular basis - Verb curl shampoo, curl conditioner, curl leave-in conditioner and curl cream, as well as a wet brand paddle brush. The paddle brush is of utmost importance. The large face area distributes force over more hair, making it less likely to pull your hair out. Yes, that means that brushing will take longer as you will need to do more passes but BUT it will not be pulling your hair out, and thus there should be no pain as well. Hopping in the shower the ritual is as follows - wet hair, brush hair, shampoo hair, rinse hair, condition hair, brush conditioner through hair... and then ignore your hair for a while. Conditioner needs to sit for 2-3 minutes for optimal results, so use that time to actually wash your body and what have you. Wash well! You've got 3 minutes to fill. After that is done, go ahead and rinse out the conditioner while brushing your hair again. Once that is done, the shower should be done and it's time for the next important steps. Dry your hair as best you can - I squeeze out as much water as possible to start, dry my body with a bath towel and then rub the towel over my hair vigorously to towel dry my hair. Yes, this could potentially tangle but that's not going to be a problem in a few seconds. Now, we have to decide. Are we doing something like recording a video or going out and need our hair to look it's best, or are we just interested in making our hair look good but have less tangles by the time it's time to shower again? This will decide which product we are going to use. The Verb Curl Leave-in conditioner is thinner, and lighter. It will let the hair dry with more of a bounce to it, and really make the curls pop. However, it will not do as well at preventing tangles throughout the day. The Verb Curl Cream is thicker, and holds the hair's form better, fighting frizzies as well as working to prevent the hair from tangling over itself quite so much. Either way, a little goes a long way. For my hair, I use about a peanut M&M's worth of either product. Plop that into one of your palms, and then rub it over your palms and fingers before then moving to your hair - you need to do that to make sure you get good coverage with the little you're using. Too much and your hair will become a rock and look wet for 4 days. (I learned that the hard way.) Work your hands with the product through the length of your hair, rub them over the top and down the length, and then whip out the brush again to work it through the rest of the way. Congrats! You have done Decker's hair ritual! For bonus points: If you live in Texas and it is a nice sunny day with light wind, sit out on the porch with the back of your head facing the sun for a nice natural dry in a much shorter amount of time than relying on traditional drip-drying.

So, I set this video to public today! Never wanted to wait too long with it, but just wanted to keep it ready in case a problem came up... and indeed it did. :/
