I've been feeling the pull toward leonormand lately, so pleased to be able to jump into your video series at the moment - perfect timing. Thanks for the book recs especially! My favourite food is always going to be cake, my inner 6 year old is taking the reins on that one 😂

Every year I say I am going to spend real time on learning Lenormand, and then it never happens! 🙈 Maybe 2024 will be the year I finally commit and I am saving this video to come back to just in case 😁💕 Does coffee count a a food 🤔 My favourite food is Italian! Anything and everything Italian, but especially pasta. 🍝

Great suggestions! The Essential Lenormand by Rana George is my go-to guidebook. I love her stories to go along with each card. The decks I first learned Lenormand on were: Brume Lenormand from LaMuciDesign, The Old Style Lenormand, and Under the Roses. Though I have read off and on for the last 3 years or so, I hope to advance to the 9 card spread and beyond through 2024. ** My most favorite food is Italian (especially tomato based dishes)

Ah thank you! Love Rana’s book, as well, and for the deck same reason! 💜 I’ve been tempted by Old Style Lenny many times, and Brume and Under the Roses also look great! Also, I totally have faith in your ability to kick ass with the 9 card spread! 💜

I’m so grateful for this Lenormand deep dive. My first deck was Grandma’s Baby Black Lenormand… but I was using it like a oracle… not really ready to learn the system… I was just in love with the images on the cards. But I’ve been ready for a few months… so this was right on time😊. I did back the Erika’s Lenormand of Hope… and I purchased only one other deck from Etsy, the Terra Lenormand. And I’ve been enjoying the Language of Lenormand. Food. I could eat a Salmon Avocado roll… ever-ree-day. But West Indian is where it’s at for me 😊

Ah thank you for saying so! I’m glad it’s being enjoyed 💜 And Grandma Baby’s deck is so powerful and stunning visually, so no wonder you fell in love with the imagery. I’m excited that you feel it’s time to start learning Lenormand though! 🎉 Though like, admittedly, there’s totally no shame in using Lenormand like an oracle deck ✨ So glad you’ve been enjoying Language of Lenormand as well! 🎉 Also, yesssss for sushi and for West Indian! 🍽️

The Cute Little Lenormand set has been on my wishlist since it was released but I never picked up a copy. And now I have your Lilac Lenormand which scratches that itch for me (contemporary, cute & inclusive). My fave book is Rana George's, I also like Caitlin Matthews book but I found that a bit heavy going as a noobler. The decks that helped me learn were the Monster Tarot by Jess Rollar and just a cheap, classic old piatnik that I got for a fiver a few years ago. My fave cuisine is Asian fusion, I love Thai and Japanese too, any kind of noodles are the ultimate dish for me.

Great video -- again, I'm so happy you're doing this Lenormand dive. I have the Cute Little Lenormand book (and deck). I got it for the book, as the deck really isn't my aesthetic. I LOVE your Lilac Lenormand -- great color and fun images. I've been reading tarot for a long time and I'm trying to remember back when I was learning that system so I don't get so discouraged learning Lenormand. I have tried to learn Lenormand off & on for a little over a year now! I feel like it should be easy to learn, but I think my Libra brain gets in the way (too many options for interpretation!) I did just pick up Lenormand of Enchantment by Yasmeen Westwood. It has fun, fantasy digital art and the guidebook is CHUNKY! She includes the meaning, keywords, and a quote for each card. She also includes card combinations for the card with each of the other cards in the deck. Im looking forward to the rest of your videos in this series!

Fun beginner decks, that I agree would be a good start for exploring this system of intuitive readings. Thelema Lenormand by Renata Lechner - Jaymi Elford has nice imagery...it is rather classic in its art style, and the messages for me come through with a gentle clarity that tells the stories easily. I have the Celtic Lenormand, but found a couple of the cards confusing. My favorite is the Enchanted Lenormand which has a colonial-era fairy tale look about it that I'm very comfortable with and a couple of changes that make sense to me. I have several others but tend to use my own Little Norman deck a lot. I'd be very curious to hear your criticisms about it, as I feel it follows all the guidelines you mentioned without any misleading imagery or confusion and in bright cheerful color palette. I think I sent you a video link for a walkthrough showing/explaining cards. I wonder how you feel about the addition of playing card assignations appearing on Lenormand cards. I'm not at the level of substituting a playing card deck or memorizing those particular cards and feel that may be a more advanced layering for me that may come later.
@LarkandLegend
@LarkandLegend 11 ай бұрын
Totally with you on the Celtic Lenormand having a couple of confusing cards. I wasn’t initially going to include it, but I thought it was beginner-friendly enough, and could be a worthwhile inclusion for tempting folks with Will Worthington’s art, since a lot of us are visual creatures. Little Norman looks totally well suited for beginners as well! Very clean and approachable. I don’t read with the playing card inserts myself, but I like when they’re included as I know many people do use them. My fave is when they’re minimally intrusive, though, such as with simply a number and corresponding suit symbol tucked away in a corner. Or when they’re subtly worked into the artwork itself, such as with Alexander Daniloff’s Lenormand Oracle (I think that’s the title, at least). Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!

But I think Erika uses that method even more effectively (no shade to Ms Rana, of course, it’s all subjective). Love Erika’s book, so I hope you’ll have a good time with it too. Does Erika’s book lean more a French or German in card meanings? Your deck esthetic is lovely!
@LarkandLegend
@LarkandLegend 7 ай бұрын
So I would say she leans more French, imo anyway. Like she assigns sex to Whip, and also looks at Fox as a job card. But that being said, she also looks at Anchor as a job card as well, so it’s not a complete dedication to the modern French meanings? I mean, I use a blend as well, so I’m fine with it, but you know what I mean lol.
@laurabondurant5096
@laurabondurant5096 7 ай бұрын
@@LarkandLegend I do. I liked your differentiation between lilies and whip for sex. That being said was such a small deck, I know I have assigned work to the anchor card and side jobs hustles to the moon card. I haven’t decided if I’m going to put a type of work for the fox card. It’s a fascinating system and I think it has to do with a lot of proximity of other cards. What do you think?
@LarkandLegend
@LarkandLegend 7 ай бұрын
Ah thanks, and I think it has everything to do with proximity. I also love that you’re willing to give your own attributions to the cards. I think that’s how we get the best and most accurate readings. Idr if I mentioned in the video, but I’ve also seen people use Whip for passionate, one-night-stand sorts of sex, while using Lilies for more tender encounters. So like, there are so many options to go with. Which I love! Love options lol.

I don't really have a favorite cuisine (i love food from everywhere), but one of dishes I love is sushi bake which my friend makes for important and joyous occasions 🍣

Ahhh, interesting, I didn’t realize it wasn’t popular in Poland. I hope you’re able to find either of these books, as both are very informative but also much more direct and a much more manageable size/page count than Rana’s (though Rana’s anecdotes for the cards are so lovely and helpful). Ahhh, yes for loving food from all over! Though that sushi bake does sound wonderful ✨

I had Indian food yesterday and it was spicy!! There's nothing like comfort food from ones culture so it's gotta be Puerto Rican cuisine! Like a mofongo with shrimp or an asopao.

Oooh, I’ve never had Asopao, but it sounds and looks delicious! Also, looooove anything plantain related so yes to Mofongo! One of my old coworkers back south was Puerto Rican, and I miss those cookouts w her and her fam so damn much 😭😭😭
