Good video. Convinced me to retune my octave mandolin to GDAD. As well, changed the G and D bass strings to high/low pairs instead of unison. Way more twang and jangle.

So it looks like the tuning is GDAD, capo 1. I’m assuming one of the typical tunings for Irish Bouzouki?

Yes GDAD is typical tuning. I would only add capo to 2nd fret (E Dorian), 5th fret (G Ionian), and 7th fret (A Dorian), but you don’t really need to for these keys. I just like the sound when using capo. 👍

It's tuned GDAD, but another standard tuning is GDAE just like mandolin, violin or banjo. So you can definitely play bouzouki tuned to GDAE. 🙂
