All you have to do is listen to the commentary on these games, pool at this level is a game of skill, planning and tactical exchanges. And to decide who is the best, it's reduced to simply who can pot balls the fastest and run around a table like a fanny. It's completely insulting to the talent of these professionals players.

Comes from snooker and they do it fewer times/take less time to shoot as well, not sure why pool players do it. Doesn't do much, maybe calm the player. But, I see more of an issue as why they buy such expensive chalk and feel the need to chalk every hit when they had a straight in line up. Wasting time, I guess.....*chalk, re-look at the shot, jerk off the cue, chalk again to make yourself feel better about the next shot and miss*
