its weird bc i know this song is originally written from the perspective of a parent watching their child grow up but having just turned 23 and moved halfway across the world for grad school, I cant help but hear in it a self reflective sadness about the passage of times in one's own life. the absentminded girlhood now gone. either way, this abba song always gets me but its never made me cry in the way his cover of it did. amazing.

I recently lost my girl puppy, my beautiful daughter, mi nina, and my best friend. She would looked at me as if i was the sun of her life, and i was! Every time she saw me, she was attentively watching my every movement. She was my best friend, I spent most of my time with her. My momma spends most of the day working, and me and my sister only talk and spend quality time together at night. I lost my best friend, I spent most of my time with her and she loved spending her time with me, as a matter of fact, if she could have she would been with me 24/7.
