This is a recording of a webinar presented by Brian Chicoine, MD of the Adult Down Syndrome Center in Park Ridge, IL. Individuals with Down syndrome may experience decline in skills for many reasons, some of which are potentially reversible. In this webinar, Brian Chicoine, MD discussed possible causes for decline in skills, including what has been called “Down Syndrome Regression Disorder,” Alzheimer’s disease, and others. He also described potential treatments and strategies that can be used when supporting an individual with Down syndrome who is experiencing a decline in skills.
