I’m here for it all! Some minimalist inspiration and cleaning motivation, and some hygge. We’re already minimalists and I’ve been on this journey for ten years but in this season of life, with a three year old and a ten year old (and a husband, a big dog and a cat) in a 67 sqm apartment, I still feel like I’m constantly shifting stuff around, doing laundry and cleaning to keep up. We need even less stuff. Seeing you prepare and decluttering for a new season of life is very motivating. Feels like I’m doing this with a good friend!

I truly enjoy everything that you do. I particularly enjoy the Fly Lady cleaning and the decluttering. Decluttering is my biggest problem and a cleaning routine is my next biggest problem. Actually my biggest problem is that I am a procrastinator!

The reminders for self-care and hygge.. 😘 👌 We are the same age, im retired, and I’m close to being an empty-nester. I’m not sure if you will see this comment, Diane, but I wanted to sincerely thank you. I’m very disabled (in bed most of the time) and the Top of the Hour method has really helped me. When I’m having a better day, I can do 5mins of decluttering then rest and do another 5mins. I know it doesn’t sound much but it’s so amazing for me. I also love to make things hygge when I’m decluttering - also because of you. I can’t thank you enough 💐💫💕

"I am decluttering towards a new life". THIS DIANE IS A BRILLIANT MANTRA!!!!!!!! We just moved my in-laws to be closer to us and I WISH that had been their mantra. Sadly it was not and they boxed and paid to have moved SO MUCH STUFF! Their new home is smaller and they are drowning. I try to help and suggest but they will not move towards getting rid of things. I DO NOT want to be like this. Thank you for being a healthy example of how to move forward in life. Things aren't over - a new life is just beginning! THANK YOU DIANE!!!!!!

Having been 'that person' trying to get my hoarder mum to declutter when I was a teen, I can honestly say the reverse declutter process works wonders instead of nagging. Focus on the treasures to keep, and then they'll find it easier to get rid of duplicates/less loved&used (or worn out) ones once they remember they have their treasures safe and easier to get to. Wishing you all the best with the process, as I know it takes a LOT of patience 💗👏

Hi Diane, Thank you for the wonderful "Top of the Hour" seminar. I had my storage area flooded At the time I was able to get rid of anything that was ruined, but hadn't dealt with the things that were saved. This morning I have done 3 Top of the Hour sessions for 20 minutes each and got 2 bags ready for the thrift store and a bag of garbage for trash. The wonderful thing is I have had time to do 2 loads of laundry, vacuum the condo and a couple of chapters of a book read in between sessions. My reward is getting an iced coffee and heading to the lake for an hour on this glorious day. Thank you so much.

Dear Diane, Thank you for today’s motivation! We have had a pretty rough transition from 32 degrees summer last Sunday, followed by a week of 7 degrees and pouring rain, so I have been doing my best to it cozy at home and not losing my nerves occupying the kids indoors 🙈 Our bathroom is quite minimal as well, but today I finally took some minutes to sort through it and was able to find a few expired products to discard. I took the motivation and went on to our medicine cabinet, (where I also store extra cosmetics, tissues, bandaids and so on): sunscreen out, expired meds out, looking for things to restock as fall is swiftly approaching. It feels so good to approach every season, every week even, with a plan and a loving motivation from Denmark. Thank you immensely for your work! Good job letting go of all the yarn and art projects. Those things used to hang me up a lot as they often feel sentimental because of the good intentions I had of finishing them or becoming the kind of mom who nits for her kids or (…) I find it easier to let them go, when I know, they go to somebody who will truly find joy in them. Take care and see you soon 💜

Your session in the Get Organized Summit was really helpful to me. It was very well presented and explained and I am already seeing a difference in my productivity. I have been working on my brain dump today and in the process I've been filing and shredding or recycling so many papers that I no longer need. My desk has been cleared of a lot of things that have no business being there and that feels really good. I feel much more organized now and ready to tackle my very long to-do list. I do struggle with follow-through sometimes but I am at least aware of what needs done. Thank you ❤ Oops, I am editing to add that I am here for decluttering motivation and looking for inspiration and encouragement to keep going forward.

Hi Diane, I’ve the same 'problems' : on the big ground of our very old Danish cottage is a very old apple tree, nobody cares about, because this island is full of apple 🍏🍎trees… I’ll make something of them, for nice autumn greetings in winter. Autumn 🍂is my favorite season, in winter and spring it is often too cold to sit outside, in summer too hot and there are a lot of insects, but autumn has delicious fruit, wonderful colors and rainy weather gives me the 'right' to sit inside and enjoy books, candlelight, tea and knitting at a warm and cosy place. I make plans for Christmas gifts and meals. Love, Monika❣

I am here for the inspiration, motivation, encouragement, your cheerful personality and I could go on and on. I am pretty much a minimalist and never had clutter, when we downsized 9 years ago I got rid of quite a bit. I did not think I would have anything to declutter so I am always surprised that since watching your videos over the years I still find things I can let go . I feel I am "letting Diane down" if I don't find something to declutter. Today I found 3 pkgs. of unopened Christmas ornaments, plates, bowls and coat hangers. A lady I believe was at the Get Organized event last year said something to the effect that "Will my future self use this", that is a good question to ask yourself when trying to make a decision. I find Diane's method of organizing, cleaning and decluttering to be the most effective.
