Great video Lauren! Just some ideas.......For the papers coming in, I go straight from the mailbox to the recycling bin and drop all the unnecessary stuff in there; whatever important papers/bills you need to deal with, bring them in and then on Sunday nights, pay them and either shred or file away for taxes - that way the pile never gets too big or overwhelming. For school papers, maybe you can keep them all week too and the also on Sunday nights, decide which 1 or 2 pieces to keep and file them into bin that has hanging folders for each school year. Oh my gosh it’s so funny you’re sharing the charger my co worker had that today and I noticed it and I was so intrigued on buying it bc of the size of it too compare to a big one I have currently. Just love your decor that you have too, Lauren! I hear you on keeping things that you really going to use it not I have hard time sometimes departing ways w/ things I don’t need either however I feel like I been getting better at it. I suggest getting a trunk and as the kids bring home drawings, arts and crafts, etc., write the date, child's name and occasion, ( such as Mother's Day 2024), and store it all in the trunk. You can use it as a place to store your report cards, journals, old school papers etc. If it's a decorative trunk, it can fit in with your decor and if not, find room for it somewhere else.

For paper I use a self cleaning file box method. The file box has 12 hanging folders, one for each month ( no year). Any type of paper ( bills, cards, receipts, kids stuff etc) goes in the current month’s folder. A year later, when it’s that month again I do a quick clean out of that one folder( takes less than 10 minutes to shred, toss, or permanently file ). I’ve been using this method for years, works perfectly for us.

I have 4 children and how I dealt with all the papers from school. I got 4 totes one for each of them. I put their names on them and would keep special things that they made or did, we would add to the tote every year! The rest of the papers I would discard! It really helped. ❤

I have one fabric storage bin for my kiddos' artwork. I will be using the zipper pouches to tey and keep each school year separated and I keep that bin on her closet out of reach.

If I don't know what to do with paperwork, I stick it in the middle of my husband's desk so it's the first thing he sees when he sits down and that way it will get either filed away or dealt with immediately instead of forgotten.

Try just getting a mail organizer and then bigger envelopes for things to keep. Kids drawings find a place to display them for a week then get rid of them. Keep the ones that really mean alote of course. You will find there is no way to keep them all not even close. I'm 55 and I had made a keep sake box for each of my children and when they were adults I gave them each there box. They loved it!

I ho through our mail once brought in trash junk shred what's needed and I do majority bills online saving on paper My grandson papers art etc from school I have a fike cabinet and place papers Ina folder by school year and when time sirt through them soo nit keeping all , but do want skne as keep sales for him to see when an adult and can toss if chooses then , not sure if snart thus way but I know my eldest daughter who is now 38 a couple years ago I decluttered some boxes and gave her photos and art work and report cards etc she l9ved seeing thi gs from childhood and showed her kids 😊
