I find I’m the same. I’m not the kind of person that buys makeup for the person they want to be. I’m literally that person that will wear anything and everything so there’s always this worry that I’ll declutter something that I’ll figure out how to wear or want to wear later. 🤦🏻‍♀️ ugh

It’s harder if you use your money to buy. Many KZbinrs get rid of them easier since they got products from PR boxes and they are rich. Not a big deal.

I love these videos! The comments today are bordering nasty for some reason! If she didnt keep purchasing items to swatch, try, compare, and review then viewers would get bored and stop watching. The whole completionist thing is why I will never buy a colourpop palette. Especially the ones that look the sameish. I would feel compelled to buy all the other ones, even though then only one I actually want is smoke show and the strawberry one.

I love watching these declutter videos. I have quite a few palettes that I have barely used, and some I haven’t even opened yet. So this year I’m gonna focus on using what I have and avoid buying more. One palette I will definitely be decluttering is the the Too Faced Sugar Peach face palette. I totally used up 2 of the pans, but the other colors look weird on my skin. But this is how I’ve learned to only buy a palette if I will enjoy all the colors. Live and learn! 🙂

I ended up depotting my Zulu palette, I only kept the shades I love and put them in a z palette so it fits in my storage now :D And I don't keep my Pat Mcgrath palettes in the fancy boxes, I do keep the boxes on display though because the artwork is beautiful to me but you probably wouldn't want to do that since they aren't cruelty free, so I don't see anything wrong with tossing them 🤷🏻‍♀️

she11y1212 there’s a channel called FacesbyGina and she did a video depotting her Juvias palettes and I basically did the same thing she did! The Juvias palettes are super easy to depot because they’re just cardboard so you can rip them apart and the pans will come out super easy 😊

I throw all the boxes away. I hate having to struggle to get to mh shadows. I love the just my luck tho... And lilac... Purples and greens are my fave. I could nvr let go of mine. I just got my makeup desk organized and decluttered two grocery bags of makeup and gave to my sis in law and coworkers. Sigh.. I miss it all but then I went to Ulta and bought new stuff haha.

Wowsers! Girl I just donated 16 of my eye palettes to a dear friend who desperately needed makeup. I needed to par it dawn to a manageable state. Especially with Boxycharm which is why I am on a extremely low to no buy this year. It was so hard to do. You are one brave girl. LOL

Your collection always makes me smile. So many options! lol Also, (and don't worry you're not alone in how you pronounce it!) syncope is pronounced like sin-co-pea. It's a medical term that means fainting, I guess why they had the girl on the front look like she's fainting/falling. I honestly only know what this word means because I have a heart condition that can cause it. haha So, the more you know. ;)

I just broke my own rules and ordered the 2 30 pan palettes from ColourPop, the Bare Necessities and It's All Good! I didn't even get to the end of January before I broke my rule of no more big palettes 😂😂 I do love ColourPop and I've seen people review these palettes and of course they loved them. One that is tempting me and I should have put on this order is the gold palette, that looks really pretty. I love all the golds you've been wearing lately.

Girl you need to list these on mercari. Stuff sells super quick way faster than depop and they only take %10. It's a reselling game changer. Way better than poshmark and depop, period! Also shipping is super cheap that's why stuff sells quicker.

@@Ruby565100 I know I use all 3. Mercari makes the most sales for me and I make the most revenue from it. Mercari has the 2.99 shipping option but of course it's by weight. But a lot of my items fall under that category so why pay more for shipping when you dont have to :) you can't get that cheap of shipping on depop even if you price it yourself.

Personally I wouldn't keep the Pat Mcgrath cardboard box, there's no need. It's pretty but its just a paper holder. If pat wanted people to keep it then imo she should have just printed it on the pallet itself. I have 0 attachment to material items but that could be because of losing many things growing up. So I don't really get the whole "oh I should keep this" thing if you don't want to just because other people do. Do what makes YOu happy girl! :)) Sending lots of love and gj de-cluttering! I love the artwork on the Pat McGrath boxes but if you don't then don't keep it. It's funny to watch as I remember how excited you were to get the green colour pop palette! I have that big blush palette and I bought a Tarte magnetic palette to put them in and it's so much smaller to store. Their palettes would hold 9 pans but theres 8 in the Tarte book. I love UD born to run, it has a good mix of my favourite old grungy shades and newer shades.

Girl, it's your makeup so do what you want, and the Pat McGrath seems like a pain in the ass to unravel, but holy shit the packaging is beautiful 😍😍 God I wish she was cruelty free lol but yeah, maybe you could just set the box up as decor or something? (I'm probably the only one who sets some of my makeup up like decor 😅 I mean i still use it, but the packaging is just too pretty to put in a stack sometimes, KVD Saint Sinner, Manny MUA Book of Shadows, Jeffree Star Blue Blood, Lime Crime Venus II, Melt Muertos and Vida are examples of mine 😂)

Don't get rid of palettes unless your 100% sure. Imo. In the future you'll look nack & wish you had certain ones. Specially limited edition. It's a keepsake. Idk. I'm only like this with eye palettes. I guess because I still have a loose eyeshadow from the late 80s. YES for real. it's soo unique. It still works beautifully. Unless the shadows go moldy. I say keep em.

I have the same pat McGrath palette I keep it out of the box but I also put the box out for display since I love good packaging I dont think it's wrong to just keep the palette out of the box do what u find comfortable

I have 2 large and 4 mid sized Pat McGrath pallets and I was so disappointed by them.. I bought 2 to start then caved when I heard great reviews.. I have hooded eyes so the shimmers/toppers just turn into a muddy mess on my eyes.

If you want to try to salvage the palettes, since you spent so much of your hard earned money on them, try using a glitter base underneath the shimmers. I know it's kind of an annoying extra step (that honestly you really shouldn't even have to take if the palette is a super expensive one like Pat McGrath), But the NYX glitter base is more affordable and is amazing and for this and it keeps shimmers from transferring and mixing on hooded eyes. :) I don't own any of her palettes but I always use it under more soft shimmers because it lets me really pack stuff on. Worth a shot anyways since you already have the palettes and might not be able to return them.

I have hooded eyes too you need a sticky base for the shimmers and glitters example I use glitter glue and pack on the lid.

You can't build your own palette using super shocks. It also isn't recommended that you depot super shocks because they dry out if not tightly sealed. I ignored the advice, depotted them, and had to buy some Duraline to revive them.
