I'm selling my house and going full nomad in October 2025 and all my belongings will have to fit in about 40 medium sized bins so I am definitely decluttering in a MAJOR WAY. And it feels so good ❤

Love this for you! Everything looks great. One suggestion for next time you tackle under the bed is vacuum/storage bags. We started using them last year when we traveled to Europe and now use them for travel and home. It’s so satisfying how much less space big bulky things take up. I did extra comforters this week and they are now the size of a shoe box 🎉 and you don’t need a vacuum just roll them or some come with a pump.

I’m in center city Philly. Today I rearrange my furniture in my cozy micro studio, and I organized my clothes in my closet and under the bed storage. I restocked my fridge with beverages and stuff to make smoothies. I’m making chicken stock from scratch for soup to prepare for the cold. Lots of laundry. I have to Ortiz’s my office nook. Ooh, and I took down my holiday decor and I’m waiting on my Mardi Gras decor.

Huge tip: Buy pillow case covers. Then all you have to store is the out of season covers. Same thing with a duvet, if you like to switch up your comforters. And I found a 12X12 box that was meant for scrapbooking paper that fits my pillow cases. And I wrap some of my ornaments in my Christmas/Winter towels. Saves a lot of space! You have done a great job with what little space you have. I am so in a get rid of everything mood right now. So that is helping me declutter. lol And use a moistened sponge to wet your envelopes.

If you are getting rid of towels and things like that may I suggest donating them to shelters or free stores etc. I am sure they are in decent enough quality and there must be plenty of folks in NYC who could use them

Checks are only valid for so long, may want to check with your bank if they are that old!

I’m shocked that you haven’t checked your mail in 6 months that’s actually insane. Also be careful with the checks as most checks only give you 180 days to cash them after that it’s a huge pain in the butt. You have to go thru HR and Payroll to get a cashable check again
