When the video first opened and you said you were making over Krista's room....i was like....oh i wish! Cause that's my name. Then my husband and i were sitting on the couch joking that it would be funny if her husband's name was Jeff, cause thats my husband's name....so when you asked Krista what her husbands name is and she said Jeff......i just started laughing hysterically and my husband looked flabbergasted. Any organiser who tells her client she has a "redonkulous" amount of stuff is worth her weight in gold, as far as I'm concerned. As an anxious client, riddled with shame and guilt for not being perfect (!), I'm sure this fun word would tell me straight away that everything was going to be OK, that a way would be found that would work for ME, and we would have fun along the way. I love you, Cas, you're so brilliant and accepting and that is why you are my favourite organiser and declutter queen. You inspire me with every video you make, and the story at the end of each video always makes me smile. You don't hold yourself above us and make us feel inferior - you feel more like a friend who just happens to have worked this particular part of life out a bit better than I have and who is willing to share how to sort things out for me. So as a I have learned I am a butterfly... a very strong one.... I understand myself for the first time and I am finding solutions to problems I have. I had tried bins in the past but everything ended up on top of them instead of inside them. Now I have removed the covers and things are ending up where they need to be. But besides finding my organizational style has been the permission to get rid of things that make you feel bad. When I was 8 I was gifted a Shirley Temple Doll from the 1930's. When I was 12 my parents went through a rough time where we moved towns (4 hours) and many of my posseessions ended up in relatives attics to be discovered by cousins. Well needless to say I didn't get any of it back.. but one thing I had taken with me was my doll. When I was 14 a cousin who was visiting from out of province must have been upset with me (I really don't remember) but after she left I found my doll in the closet with its eyes pushed out. As hard as I tried I could not repair her and I have dragged her around in a box ever since always planning one day to have her repaired. Well other children (possibly trying to repair her) had broken her arms and legs off. So there she laid in a box with broken arms and legs, head removed and eyes gouged out. Me knowing there really is no way to repair her now... but not ready to let go. And every time I saw her the bad feelings would come over me. Well today I have let her go. I have a fond memory of the surrogate "grandfather" who gave her to me who has long since passed, I have fond memories of finding her on my bed in the old farmhouse 50 years ago. I can now let go of the rest. Thank you so much for helping me see that it was time to let her go.

There’s a chance he would need to access while she’s sitting trying to get make-up done, which in my relationship would cause issues. Just a thought. Otherwise - EVERYTHING ELSE WAS AWESOME!

This was great! I wish we could have seen the impact it has on the rest of the house because imagine alll her husbands clothes shoved in other spaces are now in that room. I bet it really made a difference in that whole house! How cool is that!

My one unconditional keeper overstock is my jeans. I have different styles and colors for different functions: faded straights and bootflares for farm work, garden work and house work; dark wash unfaded boots and flares for doctor visits, shoping, general public viewing; wide leg, flares, and wide leg crops for knee injections (its part of life now); dressy black flares and wide legs for nicer occassions. Jeans are my daily uniform. I do not wear jeans with holes, so once they get tears or peepholes they are outta here. I do however have way too many knit shirts! Those I will weed out without hesitation. 😄

Laundry had always been my hardest thing in life. We took our spare bedroom and turned it into our walk in closet with a washer/dryer combo and full length mirrors. Ya, it’s not perfect but I did it myself with a bunch of extra mismatched things I had just laying around the house, but I am thankful. But, It’s been life changing.

Wow! What a great video. I really hope you do more videos of these in-home, real-life projects. You're far and away better than so many of the currentTV shows (although The Big Downsize that aired a few years ago was one great Canadian show🥰!) And thank you to Krista for allowing us into her home!

I adore your energy! I get so excited from seeing you excited about improving peoples lives. I got influenced by "other" shows and content for decluttering and it genuinely made me feel like a failure. Since i found you ive embraced my ADHD super powers for performance under chaos and my Autistic rule following brain and followed along with you listening to each tip and giving myself 5 minute tasks while i watch. I'm 3 rooms down in my house! Saving my bedroom for last since its a gaming space and bedroom combined (UK houses are SMALL) and its overwhelming but i genuinely am excited to do it. Thank you, i hope this year brings you EVERYTHING you deserve.

Great room to start with this month! My bedroom was looking like a hurricane came through it. Declutter stuff never used, hung up clothes we do use and now I can decorate with my bedding and pillows! My comfy room❤
