Decluttering Scrapbooking Supplies | Whole House Declutter Series #32

This video is for anyone wanting to declutter items related to their hobby. My hobby is scrapbooking, and I am phasing out of the stage in my life where I want to scrapbook. I have a few future projects in mind though, so this declutter is to weed out those items I know I don't absolutely love and keep only the things I totally want to use in the future. I show one hack that I use to trick myself into making faster decluttering decisions which I think will work for you, too. We downsized a year ago to a much smaller home, and I am still in the process of getting rid of "stuff." This summer, we converted a 6'x8' closet into my She Shed craft room. Since that is my container, I have been going through my different categories of crafting hobbies and either getting rid of things or completing projects as part of decluttering. Scrapbooking was definitely on the chopping block since the last album I made was a baby album for my 17-year-old. So much guilt!!!! Thank you for the inspiration to keep going!!

We can let go of the guilt. We are only able to make the best choices for our current self, not our past self. If there are scrapbooking supplies we thought we would use but we didn't, someone else can use them. Please give yourself grace and keep on decluttering. 😁

I mark my calendar for scrapbooking. I feel if I have it on my calendar as an appointment I do it.

Do you have a place in your living room for your completed albums? I find that my family will take one and look at it because it is in my bookcase and they see it there. They enjoy looking at them.

That is a good idea. I like to store things in the easiest to use location.
