When you bring your bananas home wash them with dish soap and then dry them. That takes off the ripening product that they put on the bananas. They last three times longer after you remove the ripener. Bon appetit.

For preventing bananas from ripening too fast, wrap the stems with plastic wrap or aluminum foil to prevent the gases that cause the ripening from escaping. I don’t think I’ll try separating them because I’d probably end up pulling the peel too far and having to use them quickly! By the way, you’re a joy to watch! I love how quickly you cover so much and give enough info to decide if it’s something I really need to grab a few of! Thank you for sharing and be blessed!!

I love the round turn shelf and the white baskets with lids. I’ll probably get them. The baskets I might use in laundry room for stuff on the shelf. Also in a pantry cabinet for food products!! Turntable in spice cabinet for salt/pepper, baking soda, etc!

Hi Liz, "Dollar Tree 🌳 " Thank you for taking your time to share these awesome tips for us, it's greatly appreciated! One of my Hacks, is too keep my caps from my stand up toothpastes. This way if I purchase a toothpaste that doesn't have a stand up cap, I have some. I like keeping certain caps,that can be used for other products, like on peroxide bottles it's a squirt cap,I use them on my rubbing alcohol bottles.

I use similar lidded containers in my RV bathroom. These are good for storing diabetic supplies and menstrual pads. They are stackable. My laundry is in my bedroom closet. I use a shoe bag in there and find that laundry sheets like "Earth Breeze" fit in a shoe picket as does my spray (Zout) and other laundry-related things I need. On the back side is my 3' of closet space so I put shoes in those pockets.

dollartree... Luv the wooden hanger as an organizer for necklaces and due to it being wood, it would give a nice vibe in the bedroom/bathroom. as much as I loved the playing cards as holders. I am that type of person that needs to see 👀what I have, and this way, I don't end purchasing another chain. Will have to try the Coffee Filters for cleaning the bthrm mirror and as I floss, I need to clean and right now, am using Napkins and this way I can toss in the Green Bin too😁.

If you don’t have any latex gloves when you’re staining, you can spray cooking oil on your hands after and the stain comes right off!

Your bananas had a covering over the stem. There is something natural that is emitted from the banana stem that makes them ripen quickly. This covering helps to keep the bananas "green" longer. When you tore them apart, you disturbed this covering, so you negated the hack of the grocer. Check out bananas from different stores. Some apply a covering to the stem, and some do not.

a great way to store earrings and necklaces is to use the pockets of a shoe bag. It has worked great for me for years because I am able to see what's in each pocket and no tangling if necklace chins are hung outside the pocket. double sided shoebags are a real bargain and several can store my many pairs of earrings. Can even group them by color.

I have yet to see the bamboo-topped containers here in Southern CA! I always look at glassware and little candle jars t use for other things. And usually among summer things there are nice "acryclic" stemless wine glasses that are great for other things.

If you put Saran Wrap (plastic wrap) around the tops of the bananas on the stems, it slows down how quickly they ripen. 😊
