Decluttering Series Pt 1 - Eye Makeup Products

Hey Lovelies!
I've finally gotten around to doing a bit of a decluttering series and we're kicking off with single eye makeup products.
Some of these products are seriously vintage aka old and you never know what's been stashed away in this old box of spare makeup.
Join me as I declutter my eye makeup collection and organize my beauty products. Watch as I go through single eyeshadows, mascaras, eyeliners, and more to create a more curated and functional makeup collection. I'm not really a nail polish wearer, but your shattered Glaminatrix singles can be mixed into top coat and turned into sparkly nail polish. Other shades can be mixed into lip gloss, if the colour is lip safe. I often add mixing drops to make shimmery liners.

Kris, have you seen those shows on telly where they'll get someone to sort out the home of a hoarder? This is what you need in regards to your make-up. It's a disaster! I have never witnessed so many odds and sods, endless brands that I have never heard of and what's going on with Temu? Don't EVER put anything on your face bought from them! Goodness knows what dangerous ingredients are included. Truly, you shouldn't be buying so many single eye-shadows, yet well curated palettes instead. You just can't keep track of them all. Why are the Glaminatrix shadows still in the cardboard used for transportation? They should be safely encased within a palette upon arrival. Never, have I seen anyone use an eye-shadow directly from the cardboard envelope - until now. Sweety, you need to sort yourself out. Whenever you tossed another product away, I wasn't thinking 'congratulations', but why did you even buy such ridiculous products, why didn't you return when they never performed and most importantly - all of that wasted money. You seriously need to get onto eBay and pick up some Pat McGrath or Natasha Denona. There are plenty to chose from that are brand new and even many who don't charge shipping! Just make sure it's set to Australia Only and you're set. Those poor items being disrespected in this manner almost broke my heart.💔 Why buy from so many brands that are not known at all or for their lack of quality. I was actually thrilled when you had advanced to MAC, a brand that I've never purchased from myself. I've always believed that quality comes first. The Sephora Sale has started today if requiring anything. By the way, it's common for Sephora to request photos, as they know that they cannot package anything to arrive to a customer in one piece. Most items will be damaged. I had two Viseart palettes in a row that turned up broken and sent them photos. Both times, they told me to keep them. I've never had any issues on the rare occasions I've needed to return an item and only once sent it back because it wasn't damaged, the labelling was screwed up and the wrong shade of blush was sent that definitely wasn't to my liking. You need to be more forceful when returning. They can probably sense your trepidation and think they can wiggle out. Stand up for yourself and never bow down to anyone, no matter how powerful the corporation is or the wealth they have. They can easily afford to refund your money. If you had returned that product online in the first place, it would have been settled well and truly by now. You simply fill out the form, explain why it failed and then they tell you to either keep the product or throw it away. What I wouldn't give to sort out your collection. Take you shopping and show you what real quality is. I don't purchase rubbish from unknown brands, which is why I love my make-up collection! Everything is of the best quality, the palettes are beautifully curated, lids fit, magnetic closures, stunningly beautiful palettes etc. My best advice to you would be eBay. You've discovered Lethal now, so why not delve into their products or build up a palette. The one constant throughout what you showed, apart from cheap and crappy, was the amount of shimmery shadows you own. Where are the matte shadows to use inconjuction with these? I actually was aware of the Easter bundle from Glaminatrix, yet have never purchased anything from the brand. You really need to concentrate on organising the products and display them in a way that you can see them so they can be used. First, get those shadows out of the cardboard as that's down right embarrassing!😯 Please, for the sake of your eye sight and face in general, NEVER buy make-up from Temu again! Try buying from the one brand, even if that's Maybelline or Revlon that are better suited to what you're more comfortable spending. The shadows that you've thrown away can be mixed with many products available today to use them in a different manner. If too pale, use as highlighter, mix with product and create lip gloss or lipstick. It's just pigment that can be used in a variety of ways. After decluttering and when you return from your trip, get this bundle of products into order so that you remember what you have and don't needlessly buy even more rubbish. Be aware of the Sales. That's where you can pick up the best quality for little money. I once bought my first PML Mothership from Sephora for 50% Off. PML send anything to Australia free shipping! They have magnificent sales. I'd be wary of some Indie Brands who are very expensive and overcharge on shipping. Your best bets are Lethal, although they can be purchased from QLD, and Oden's Eye. The EOFY Sales are the best time to purchase from Sephora, unfortunately it has now ended. Have a look at the Natasha Denona Midi-Palettes. Wait for them to be reduced, (like now), and chose one that best suits you. She has the best quality shadows in my opinion and her palettes are exceptionally put together. Anything, to stop you buying all of those cheap oddments. Okay, that's enough advice for now. You'll probably block me from saying anything else after your next decluttering videos. Just remember, I grew up prior to the internet. I'm self taught when it comes to make-up and fashion in general. Plus, I have a few more decades on you worth of experience. I never grew up with money either, hence how adaptable I can be. I made some of my own clothes and am a self-taught knitwear creator and designer. I've worked in many aspects of fashion too. From what I've seen from your personality, this is a disastrous way in which to purchase cosmetics. You'll never remember all of those endless single shadows you've accumulated. I never had much in the way of make-up when in my twenties, although I dabbled with a few luxury brands. I was having too much fun with my life to be spending so much of something I didn't require much of at that time. We didn't have online purchasing either, which helped with temptation. It wasn't until I began to settle in my forties that I got back into make-up. When I went to Europe for a few months, I took an ivory and mid-brown eye-shadow and that's it. Natasha Denona shadows would do well for you due to how easily you can blend out one shadow across the entire eye. I really don't like seeing waste, even if not my own money spent. I can't tell you how many think I'm absolutely loaded with 💰. It's only due to being wise with how I spend the little I have. Hope this advice can help you one day. Take care, Kris.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

One of the things I love to do most is try new products from new makeup brands, you never know when you might find a hidden gem. Each to their own right? 🙂 I have been polite and assertive dealing with Sephora which is how I would have liked to have been treated working in retail and hospitality for so many years, we'll see what happens. There are definitely bigger issues in the world though so I'm not going to get too hung up on the whole thing! Have a great day!
