Two cents: You could also use a color ramp after the texture, and the bright/contrast node (the contrast setting) realy helps the colors pop if you still want more saturation. Also, i don't think many people know this but you can plug a Texture's Color or Factor output into another Texture's Vector input. Putting a Wave texture into the Noise Texture with some Distortion and Detail creates patterns like on real Bubbles. If you then rotate or move the wave texture with coordinates, or change the included scale parameter in the noise texture, you can get some nice animations in the colors while it actually has somewhat more resemblance to an actual soap film rather than just random blotches of colour. Very nice Tutorial. Just made me som bubblerinos.

So maybe I'm the only one not getting the same result as him right away, but if your bubble isn't looking the same after he adds in Transparent BSDF, try going to the material properties section. Then go to settings and change Blend Mode to Alpha Blend.

Thanks for the nice tutorial, but you can get the same result without the mix shader and the transparent shader. All you need to do is link the layer Weight to Principled BSDF's Alpha

It's a HDRI image. I use the Easy HDRI add-on to import HDRIs from the internet.

Mine was not working because I was using Evee. You should tell people which render engine you using.

It does work in EEVEE. You just have to change the material blend mode to Alpha Hashed.

That is probably because you are in eevee and there is an hdri, which is the image that is showing up in the bubble. Either use cycles or remove the red background

@@gabriellasoliman7386 This material does have quite a bit of noise unless you use lots of samples. Unfortunately, that's just a byproduct of semi-transparent reflective surfaces like this. I'd suggest you update to a more recent version of Blender. Then you can use the new denoiser node instead of the default denoiser 2.79. I just checked, and it does a much better job of cleaning up grain from this material.

I don't know but the centre looks like a hole. It is not apparent (but still kind of see it) with the example in the video, but when I tried it with a different background and lighting, the hole is more apparent. i.imgur.com/ngD0hhL.png

I wish I could have figured out how to even start. Your video assumes beyond beginner knowledge. I don't know anything really other than how to add a mesh sphere and you start your video with your sphere, texture, background(?) and whatnot already done, make a mention of what's been added, and then move on assuming everyone watching knows how to do it. I will have to keep searching for a start to finish tutorial :(
