Would have been better if you had just released it, we watch everything you make but drip feeding clips to hype seems pointless and annoying, after I’ve listed to all the clips because it all I can get them I listen to the whole episode and have skip 9 minutes I’ve already heard, I get it l, it’s better for your view count because it artificially adds multiple views to the same content but it’s annoying and feels shitty from a follower point of view

What’s so odd to me is the sheer quantity of people complaining about his “dramatic, performative pauses”. Where I come from, saying nothing when you’re formulating a thought is way better than filling in the silence with words like “umm”, “ahh”, “sooo”, “you know”, and my all time favorite, “like”. From a public speaking standpoint he is tremendous. Not sure if people just aren’t familiar with good public speakers in this society of real housewives and child politicians or what.

Ah, the results of a neverending flashy stream of 300 MPH have-it-right-now 30 second average "shorts" or clips on these platforms, scrolling one straight in to the next. Constant noise, movement and stimulation becomes a pacifier. People have been so systematically conditioned, or socially engineered to have such short attention spans so much now that it makes them feel uncomfortable to slow it down, stop and reflect within a discussion like these fine gentlemen do.

I notice the difference in the medical field. Getting someone’s vital signs now (I still take blood pressure manually), vs 20 years ago is vastly different. People’s eye movements are frequent, they can’t just sit and look at the wall or the floor, they don’t know where to look, they don’t know what to do with their hands without their phone, they don’t know what to do in general when there’s a few seconds of no talking, or if there’s a few seconds of silence in general. They either have to be moving, talking or they have to get out their phone. It’s moderately infuriating.

Agreed. It’s understating things to say he’s thoughtful but he’s just thoughtful It’s bizarre how certain critiques are infectious. Talking about him in this way is like a trend of some sort Granted I will say he’s not great at packaging and delivering a point which is to say he’s not great at simplifying what he’s talking about. But he’s sooooo much better than he used to be …I assume he’s aware of this.

We often forget that Epstein was a rich lister, with an island, very charming and fun to hang out with. Pretty much everyone wanted to hangout with Jeffrey Epstein, so why not the most famous physicist on the planet? It was only after some allegations came out against him in the early 2000s that he was involved in sex trafficking that his popularity took a hit but many still stuck by him cos, remember, many just thought they were allegations brought against him by his "enemies" who were jealous of him and his money. Of course, as more evidence came out, it became a different story. So really, there is no question why Hawking wouldn't want to hang out with Epstein. Everyone famous enough and rich enough did at one point.

Eric, our interest in J E and why people are still talking about him is precisely because we know he could not have accomplished what he had in a vacuum. We know there are people "above" him that "permitted" his lifestyle. That is why we are curious to the nature of anybody that had association with him, financial or otherwise. And we KNOW the kind and calibre of some of the people he has "entertained". And we are suspicious. And I think that is the appropriate vibe.

And yet the vast majority are not ready to know the truth, or even not want to know the truth. The ignorant masses are only focussed on J.E. island and his "events" and are completely enthralled by it. A great diversion if ever there was one. I for one want to know the powerful people behind J.E., what their 'intentions' are and 'why'. Is it still the same (((people))) Jesus called out years ago or is it another family or tribe I wonder. 🤔 Either way, those behind the curtain are still there because all the fools are focussed on J.E. immoral acts.

With all due respect I'm having a diffucult time seeing where people are confused here. He fumfers but answers the question and asks the deeper question: Who was behind JE and why do they* want to manipulate the field? Thanks for having Eric on Chris, love your guys chemistry.

Totally with you here... I see Eric's point clearly... and can see exactly why he posits the questions to the questions... its his way of saying "Do you want to go down a useless tangent that will produce no results or insight.... or do you want to stop studying string theory (or the conversational equivalent of it) and think of this MORE relevant question that gets you to your answer much more efficiently and directly. I honestly believe that Eric W. is a great litmus test for those who can think critically and those who are trying very hard but it is mostly going over their capability to understand the larger concept and frame of reference. I see this quite often. What happens to me when I watch an Eric W back and forth is I am half the time baffled at the questions given him as if the interviewer shouldn't be so daft at getting to the meat of the problem... OR Eric asks an even better question that makes me realized I have also been looking at the wrong portion of the problem. It sharpens one's ability to get past the noise to the most applicable part of the issue at hand.

Nowadays people are so numb and intoxicated with massive loads of content everywhere, that they forget to use their brains. A lot of people commented that Eric was a master in the art of saying nothing and expected some answers. He already did people! In his podcast! He spoke his mind to whoever wanted to hear it. He received death threats due to that. He knows the answers to the questions he is given here. But he can't say them, for whatever reason. He may even want to protect his family and close ones. He wants us to make thought exercises and to talk as much as possible between ourselves and, then maybe, one day, someone will reach the right answer.
@TheLastSisyphus

This clip demonstrates the same issue some people have had with Eric for years now: he is more performative than informational in a lot of cases. I suppose it's exciting to speculate about a conspiracy about who "created" Epstein and its connection to physics, but that ultimately gets us nowhere other than more speculation. I don't know about anyone else, but eventually, these super-exciting conspiratorial speculations don't amount to much. They just become performative theater for those hungry for the next hottest thing.

I agree, however Eric had personal dealings with him and thought very early on that Epstein's persona and whole set up didn't gel with everyone else who was that wealthy Eric had come into contact with. @zarbins
@zarbins 3 ай бұрын
@@janem3575 In what way is it circular? Is there not a clear progression from point 1) Epstein's list and Chris's thoughts on it 2) S. Hawking 3) The power of Physics 4) The obvious notion that there are people behind Epstein 5) The lack of innovation in aspects of theoretical physics 6) The seeming failure of String Theorists. Eric is being provocative and theatrical for effect and the dialogue is engaging because Chris gets to participate, and express himself as a layman (thinking the way many of us might), and Eric seriously engages and seeks to heighten the dialogue from his perspective of mathematical physics. Ultimately, it is speculative but there is concrete discussion going on as well. Or is everyone in this thread aware of Witten's recent appearance at the World Science Festival and that it's the 40th anniversary re: 'Anomalies and the Green-Schwarz Mechanism'? And that he has been hearing from others in his field about their concerns. There is a non-circular narrative construction occurring here but apparently it bores everyone, or at least Eric's approach to it. Eric is smart, perhaps a bit too playful though.

Sitting across from a person and answering questions does nothing. Guiding people through your thought process, how to process information like you do, while still discussing the topic does significantly more for the other person in the conversation and in this case, the audience as well. I disagree with some of the sentiment here. Life isn’t always ask a question, get an immediate answer. He said he didn’t know. What he did do was ask a provocative question and make me think a bit deeper about that situation and I’ll use that in the future to try and see what the real answer might be. He added more than enough to the conversation. We just get lazy and want immediate answers to our questions. Life doesn’t always work out like this. We have seemed to lose the ability to think critically.

It made me think also. Think that; anyone who is taking the time to lead me down the garden path that Jeffery Epstein was just a pawn using his career of leveraging powerful people by exploiting their weaknesses of lust, to obtain secrets of physics for some unnamed world power, perhaps has reason to distract me from the fact Epstein used young girls and trapped many middle aged men who made his acquaintance…

The simplest explanation is Epstein, when not conning people or raping girls, loved watching Nova and a part of him believed he could’ve been a scientist, but his life is too busy with other things. If he was inviting jazz musicians to the island, it would also be reasonable to guess he loved jazz and believed if he took saxophone lessons he’d be one of the greats. Not every explanation about Epstein needs to fit a Bond villain character arc.

I think you guys overthinking it. If an investor (broader sense, might be a state..) want to invest long term in tech, then bet in fields which potentially having very unexpected, long term tech impact. It is like Softbank betting on software (all software, whole field). Bio, Chem is a little old, crowded, Physics potentially has a lot of steam in it. Quantum, Materials-Semiconductors is already crowded, what do you bet on what no one used for tech yet? Far end f particle physics, cosmology, gravitation is on potential field that may have huge impact without people betting on it.

I worked at the SSC for General Dynamics in 1991 thru the contract termination. The reason it was shut down was due to mismanagement of funds by people in charge. It was also because those writing the checks had no idea what benefits were possible. Or what benefits could/would be developed just by attempting to achieve what CERN has. SSC would have done it decades earlier, imo. Those are the reasons.

They were nerding out a bit much…..if the question is what would Epstein (and the intel networks he works for) want with Stephen Hawking it might not be about understanding or possessing Hawking’s knowledge They want to blackmail leading scientists so that they will support different agendas that they push So whether you have a preventable pandemic or you’re wanting the world to obsess about the climate so that you can restructure society….if renowned scientists are in sync with the narrative/propaganda, it’s useful So the real question is what other leading scientists are blackmailed?

There is a 4hr lecture on yt by Professor Eric Dollard on the nature of electricity. The first hour is an outline of the history of electricity back to Faraday qnd his key on a kite string experiment through to Tesla. Once covers Tesla, Dollard says "This is where all inc2stigation into electricity stops" Why? What might have been discovered if it had continued? Or was it simply a matter that the money men had their product? I don't think so.

Look at what Hawking talked about before the setup, that he didn't talk about after. In particular, relating to natural cycles of our star. There's a civilization-ending event coming sometime in the next decade. The period of this cycle is 3x4x1000yrs. I'm being indirect to try to avoid the usual deletion of my statements on this subject.

Why are we concerned about Jeffry Epstein the person when we should be asking who is Jeffry Epstein the construct and why are the people who constructed him interested in physics or are they just using it as a veil?

I almost didn’t watch this because of the comments, but I took a chance and I can say for certain that he clearly answered it. The relationship is physics. Why physics? He said when you understand physics or you can control those that understand it, you control the world. Why? Because those that can harness the power of physics can make nuclear bombs, travel space, control resources, etc.

We’ve never been able to go beyond general relativity, an invaluable theory with numerous applications. Here in France we have a controversial scientist that came up with a new cosmological model called the Janus model. 40 years have been wasted on dark matter and the « big repeller » supposed to give galaxies their spiral form rather than scattering from centrifugal forces. We’ve tried to fabricate something out of nothing but it’s so far gone that the research has to continue or the whole system of research would go bust.
