This issue is common in every city of India, were govt demolish heritage building in the name of development. They build block like building 🏢. There should be some type of architectural style in the building. Even Hyderabad lost it heritage building. So sad to see history and heritage building r eraseing from our country.

The monologue of the expert on wetlands became too long and boring. From conservation of Kolkata's heritage buildings the focus shifted to protection of Kolkata's ecology. I was thinking of sharing it with my friends, but I have dropped the idea because of this shift in focus. A separate video could have been made on East Kolkata wetlands.

What’s wonderful is that all, or most of these buildings would have been torn down if India were still in the Empire. Same a Cuba. It’s preserved by hand and by love. Indians most likely did the masonry work.
