Could you or anyone explain what you meant by the "Earth regressing"? I'm genuinely curious and Google didn't answer
@ryanincontrol4 жыл бұрын
@@hereliesmyreputation2559 Earth is not a perfect sphere. When it rotates on its axis (imagine a line that passes through the North and South Poles), it drifts and wobbles. This is known as polar motion. Measurements for the 20th century show that the spin axis drifted about 10 centimeters per year. Over the course of a century, that becomes more than 10 meters. In general, the redistribution of mass on and within Earth such as changes to land, ice sheets, oceans and mantle flow affects the planet's rotation. As temperatures increased throughout the 20th century, Greenland's ice mass decreased. In fact, a total of about 7,500 gigatons (the weight of more than 20 million Empire State Buildings) of Greenland's ice melted into the ocean during this time period. This makes Greenland one of the top contributors of mass being transferred to the oceans, causing sea level to rise and, consequently, a drift in Earth's spin axis. While ice melt is occurring in other places (like Antarctica), Greenland's location makes it a more significant contributor to polar motion.

I periodically check out Stonehenge videos on You Tube, but it had been years until yours attracted me. I had built my own model at the time, which is probably why yours did.. Excellent model ad an excellent video.. Your six and one half minute synopsis succinctly summarized what I had studied, while makes a compelling case over that the monument's alignment was intended to greet the Winter Solstice Sunset, the diametric opposite of the then consensus that i was oriented to the Summer Solstice Sunrise. Always a pleasure to learn something new. You have inspired me to update my study. Thank you.

Actually, there’s a myth about how Merlin stole the giant’s stones from Irish territory (an area that could be where modern Wales is today, as it was Irish territory at the time) and transported them to an area of England that seems rather analogous to where Stonehenge is today. And given that the inner circle (the taller stones) of Stonehenge matches material from that area of Wales, and that that region was recently found to have holes in the ground that matched the dimensions of some of Stonehenge’s inner stones, it’s theorized that the inner circle of Stonehenge was originally constructed in Wales, then moved to Salisbury later. So…giants and magick.

@carljensen5730 Жыл бұрын
There is a lot more known. The bluestones were part of an older stonehenge in Whales, much further north and east than Preseli. The people of that region had trade routes with the region where Stonehenge is now and at one point, they moved with their stones to rebuild their structure at the current site. They could have easily moved the stones on wooden sleds at around the speed of walking, meaning they could have moved the stones in a week over land, on the same trade routines used for centuries. Years later, Stonehenge underwent a "remodelling" whereby the large Sarsen stone structures were built and the bluestones were moved.

I think the pyramids were amplifiers, and on certain occasions, the different chambers were used for seekers of the inner self to encounter it in in a powerful way in such an energetic place.

This is now my favourite video about Stonehenge. It's a beautiful explanation of the structure and probable function of the monument.

Ah, humans underestimate humans. This is really true. People think they're correct, and they can only do it, while some people thousands of years ago also did it. Yes, it would have more effort and time, but that just shows people way before was more patient. This just explains that we like to disrespect our ancestors.

I live really near Stonehenge, and it's such a pain, because it's next to a highway. If you're just trying to drive and tons of people make these huge traffic jams by stopping to look at it or slowing down a lot, it gets quite tedious.

Hi Vox!! I have to be honest, Ive only recently found your channel 🙊🙈😅 but so far I'm loving everything I'm seeing. Your videos are perfect. They are incredibly factual, and the information you deliver is of very high quality. Many everyday people have no knowledge of the Equinoxes, so your explanation of how the exquinox works was a brilliant inclusion and helped better explain Stonehenges relevance to that. And although you deliver it with a great level of maturity and professionalism, you also deliver it with a vocabulary that most people can understand. My niece finds history often intimidating and overwhelming, and it shouldnt be really. its a magnificent tale of what happened here before. And its a very intimate way of getting to understamd the human condition. This was a beautifully executed presentation, i will definitely be watching much more of you and your lovely channel Vox ✌💯
