Good explanation of a Yod. I have 6 - yes, 6 - of them in my natal chart. Really explains the experience of it. The only way to deal with it, in my experience, is to surrender deeply and constantly adjust. Being attached to any outcome is fatal to the intention. Ugh. Not easy energy to handle!

@@lotusphoenix8 I actually went back to the Solar Fire report my astrologer gave me. It's actually 5, but the orb she used was a little loose. On the tightest definition it's only 2 degree orb. That said, as I've gotten older, I experience the wider orbs. I just stay in dialogue with each planet/asteroid each day...

I have a Yod in my chart with Chiron at 22 degrees Taurus, Pluto at 21 degrees Libra, and Neptune at 22 degrees Sagittarius, and so I clicked on this video to learn more. My experience of this time period (which I was not aware was a double quincunx) was what led me here. My experience was a magical series of sudden opportunities that opened into very positive experiences. I had to totally surrender to my intuitive impulses and move very quickly to seize a tiny window of opportunity. I would call it my chance to be "the fairy godmother" in another's story. This experience gives me a very positive take on why this unique energetic would be called "the finger of God" and how allowing our higher self to act in the benefit of another, may bring blessings that seem beyond all coincidence.

This I can't wait for. I have no Yods in my chart, but I know a half a dozen that do have one, or even 2 Yods. One that has 2 Yods have both in Venus and Jupiter with Pluto, other the same but with Saturn. Destruction, rebirth, expansion, hard lessons in matters of the heart. Why it took me so long to see it is beyond me, but I finally did. Firstly I had never had heard of one until maybe 2016. Yods are so, fascinating to me. Placements we get in our chart are no mishap, just purpose and intent. What we had coming from past life actions, in part. Looking forward to your rundown on such. Nice! "Something fated but not understood - something fated, but not recognised... fate? or an accident of fate? Nice cover on the yod and the quincunx energy field! Not being in agreement and not being in support. It's blowing my mind just how much this talk resonates - it actually resonates physically. I was in convo with someone not too long ago whose Sun and Venus are quincunx to mine, and I noticed that at certain points in the convo, they actually averted their gaze to look at their hands or something else even. It made me wonder whether the person and I were energetically matched and it's something I'm still turning over in my head.

So interesting! HAVE to have it, SHOULD have it, COULD have it (and their associated gazes). I'm feeling all of those, possibly all at once. I can see how these would cause discomfort, as there will never be a fit. Yes, it's uncomfortable. Always have to remind myself to surrender and remember that this too shall pass. I have a yod in my natal chart that I’ve never really understood so today’s lecture brought so much light. Thanks, Christopher! I can see many events in my life happening as they should (let’s call it fate) but my insistence for a different result (or perhaps resistance, the finger of god is my ASC in Taurus) often means a tremendous waste of energy and a certain sense of frustration. In the end I accept the results and I’m glad they happened but the clarity you gave today means an opportunity for reflection on the battles worth fighting. If the results are always the same, which situations I could accept right from the start?

Oh my goodness !! I am so glad you shared this info. :-) I have moon in Leo in the 4th house ( square Venus) . I have been in this apartment for 14 years. I am looking to move to an apartment closer to my son and granddaughter in another city 2 hrs away. My income is low and am not on HUD, yet. I can't believe how much rent has increased. 😳 I am moving forward in Faith/good karma and the fact my credit score is high and I have never been late with my rent. Emotionally i have already moved but am VERY aware of hoping to not be too much of a polly-anna in this whole process. At least my apartment is getting a Great clean and organizing job. Fascinating! I know exactly that feeling when someone averts their gaze. If I know them well, the immediate response is "what?" Coz there's something. And they might obfuscate, but you know there's something. Sometimes, they're just bored, or self-involved of course. The gaze is a very interesting concept, and this idea for astrology is intriguing.

I have a fickle finger of fate award 😉 So looking forward to Christopher’s take on this, I know it will further my understanding. Saturn and Jupiter (my day chart’s malefic and benefic) with the apex my Sun. In earlier days of my Astro learning journey, I first heard the word at a Rick Levine lecture, and a friend likened it to ducks nipping at your heels. A constant irritation. I have 3, and I know for sure one of them was activated. An unusual incident occured that brought out a Psychic-Medium ability that changed my life. Finding a You is easy. Let's say you have the Sun in Gemini. Go to the zodiac sign opposite Gemini which is Sagittarius. Let's say you have nothing in Sagittarius but you do have a Jupiter in Capricorn and a Mars in Scorpio. That's a You which is basically an iiscsceles triangle. So the formula is look to see if you have planets in signs flanking the sign opposite the planet you're looking at. If you do you have a Yod. But the orb is usually pretty tight - like 2-3 degrees. 🙂
