I am an Indian with a highly scientific bend of mind and been an ultra modern guy living a western life here in India and in other countries as well. We are born and raised with astrology and ayurveda (even tantrics) all around our lives. I found Simon's style of teaching lucid and charming to the extent that I just completed watching all three parts. He created a strong interest in me to explore more and (try to) find out how could people reach these heights of knowledge when even the solar system except the Sun and Moon was so less known. Offering of mustard seeds, black-colored articles, and sesame seeds. I don't know if Lord Shani likes sweets but most Asian cultures make a dessert that is covered in Sesame seeds. I personally have an alter cloth that has crows on it.

at 1:07:54 you say that "they say" you reincarnate and pick up the dasha where you left off. WHO says this? Where can I read about this? I've never heard anyone else say this, so I don't believe that to be true. But I'd like to know if it is.

It is in the Gita. Arjuna asks Krishna what would happen after death, to all the Karma, Jnana that is accumulated in a lifetime and if it would all be lost. The answer to that is beautiful. Krishna responds that as the divine Atman leaves the body, it carries with it the Karma, the Samskaara and the mind. The same Samskaara can be seen in the next life as a continuation of the journey. The Karma is not lost, nor is the Jnana. We see many young achievers who become masters in their fields at a young age and get an early start. Some others find their path much later in life. The change they experience would be drastic, but it would also be a continuation of where they would have left off in their previous life. The law of Karma is beautiful and makes compete sense once we understand it. But of course, NEVER accept anything without questioning, debating and experiencing it yourself. The way of the East is to be seekers and not believers. Read the Gita translation if you like. It takes about 3 hours. Cheers!

I have a certain combination, that keeps repeating ,in different houses, in my natal chart: Ketu (Mysticism), Saturn (Restrictions and problems), Pluto (Uncontrollable events springing up everywhere) and Jupiter (Captain of the Army). Jupiter protects Ketu! At the current moment this situation is in my third house (Sagittarius) and the sun is in my sixth house (Pisces).

Uncontrollable events springing up from nowhere? Sounds more like Whac a mole and Uranus. If Pluto is the issue than by more Pluto it can be solved. Better control, more long term strategy and security. Some would argue that is Saturn but I think Pluto trumps Saturn in long term strategy. I think of Pluto like a chess player.

some vedic astrology websites provide it when you enter your birth details.. it is called vimshottari dasa (sanskrit name) table.. there you will find your major planet periods (maha dasa) and the sub periods within it (bhukti/antar dasa) in vedic astrology there are twenty seven stars (nakshatra) distributed along the whole twelve houses.. each star is assigned a starlord.. and the starlords are the nine planets.. the star at which your moon posited is known as your birth star.. (janma nakshatra) and the house where moon is placed is known as birth house (janma rasi).. maha dasa comes in a fixed order with different planets having different periods of presence.. for all charts.. for example.. sun has six years and moon has ten years..and moon maha dasa always comes after sun maha dasa.. this is same for all charts.. let's say for example.. you are born with moon in leo.. and your star is uthram.. this star also known as uttara phalguni.. the starlord is sun itself.. (there are three stars in leo.. magha.. star lord is ketu, then pooram/poorvapada.. lord is venus, then uthram/uttarapada.. lord is sun) now depending on your birth time, day and year you will know how many more sun maha dasa years from the total six years left out in your chart.. let's say four years.. that means.. you'll have sun maha dasa till you are four years old since you are born.. and then for another ten years you'll have moon maha dasa.. that means upto sixteen years of age.. and then mars maha dasa comes in.. that is for seven years.. that means till you are twenty three years old.. it goes like that..
