We certainly use the D9 for compatibility, and some of those techniques are programmed into the Dilanu software (prodilanu.com). However, remember that the D9 is a harmonic of the D1 - it does not supercede it. The D1 is not 'superficial' as it is the basis for everything else. In fact, it is the deepest chart of all, because the timing and karmas for every area of life are deduced from it. For example, you do not use D9 for career, or to calculate dasha/bhukti.

Or will they still feel the d1 because it is the surface chart? (And they will only feel the d9 when they get married?) Question 2: When it comes to synastry, lets say a child is 9 years old and her mother is 50 years old, do we use d1 (child) to d9 (mother) synastry? Or is it still d1 to d1 synastry? Question 3: at what age does the d9 synastry start to show? I believe above 30s or when married right? Another topic question: What Kind of Planets or is it the dasha that takes place when you met someone from 10 years ago and you happen to see them again after all those years, so a reunion. Is it venus, ketu, saturn? Retrograde? Dasha?

thanks for sharing jack. that is food for thought, but it doesn't curtail adoption or other ways of helping out kids or taking care of them. also, no single technique is the final word - use this in conjunction with a full analysis of your fifth house, its lord, and Jupiter. hope this helps.

Her KS is clear in D1 and D9. No karmic obstacles to having children. She has two stepkids and it may be a personal choice for her not to have her own
