We had a 65 galaxie wagon in tan which we used for everyday driving and camping. Dragging around 8 people in a wagon with camper gear mounted on roof was the way to go for those that didn’t have $$ for a trailer. Great job in Recreating the recreation of the time.

Wasnt my family that owned one. I did. Bought it in 1982. Paid $700 to the guy who worked at Ford and bought it off the assembly line. Big green beast it was. Loved that car. Binned it into a brick wall. Drove it for another year. Miss that old car. Sold it for $300.

Hello, those both came out wonderfully. That blue you used on the Ford Galaxy made it look a lot like a Lincoln Continental of the same era. As always the replacement wheels made the restoration/customization. Great job on decommissioning the fire chief's car and the repairing of the door mechanism on the trailer. Real skills used there. A really nice double restoration and just in time for vacation time .The paintwork on both models is a good choice and like the detailing out side (unable to see inside). The final setting is just great ...roll on the holiday season ....WHEN WE CAN ALL GET OUT FROM LOCK DOWNS ....

I love the color of the Galaxie and the wheels. I thought you would have removed those casting lines on the hood and doors that helped the assemblers know where to put the original decals. It's cool that you were able to repair the door on the camper. I loved that camper as a child.

Great job on the Galaxie, the wheels look great. It was a transitional Superfast model, those were always my favorites as Lesney made small, narrow Superfast wheels to fit the existing car line before going to the wide, less realistic wheels, then radiusing the wheel openings on everything in the great slide downhill in scale realism. Dark days lay ahead.

The Ford Galaxy looks very clean. It looks fantastic. I like the simple livery of the Galaxy. Looks like it could have been drive around back in the days or at some car show. The caravan looks great as well. I had one of these fire chief Matchbox Galaxy’s as a kid (although mine was not a Superfast version) My dad either found it at a landfill or we bought it a flea market. I can’t remember. I never knew that there was Superfast version. The wheels suits the car. But, like you said, some of GL wheels are always wonky and so are the axels

Very nice job again. 😎 Really like that how you turned Galaxie to civil version. There wasn't many "basic" American family toy-cars, because for some reason big American sedan toy-cars were almost always fire chies cars, police cars or taxi cabs. Today you can find basic US-cars too from some manufacturers like Greenlight. I really like those colours and wheels you chose, and those Galaxie taillights are very nicely done. 😀

As luck would have it, if I recreated my family's Galaxie from the mid-60's I'd have to stick to cherry red. Nice restoration. Always thought Matchbox should of had a civilian version. I loved seeing it come to life.

I remember having that exact caravan. Mine had the same broken hitch and door. I always use to find something to pull the door closed with. Good memories mate. Love the restoration, I would've rather mine looked like this one!

LOL, LOVE THAT GALAXIE 500!!!!! A variation that Matchbox should have but did not....The emergency vehicles were always welcome, but I always wanted the civilian version too! It took until the underrated underdog Playart came out with the Chevrolet Caprice in civilian, taxi, fire, police, and army staff car variations and figure out how to reduce costs by more variations and economy of scale. Everyone is happy, manufacturer and collectors!!! Greenlight seemed to realize how to leverage interest in collectors by using a casting and every sort of variation imaginable and have product coming out constantly. Thanks as always, Danny!!!!!!

Great choice of color on both, that orange is currently trendy on trailers today. The interior looks a little too glossy on the car but I love the detail you put on the driver. These two look great together though or with anything else you might have to combine them with.

I bought the real thing back in the day, the first car I bought on my own, not a hand me down. Mine was a light blue. Mine was a 65 and looked just like this one, but a 65 and a 66 are so much alike it's hard to tell.

Absolutely weird that this shows up in my feed. Was just thinking of the camper I had as a kid a couple of days ago. Had the same one but it had a blue door,& if I recall a blue and white sticker along the bottom sides. Great memories.

I absolutely love your restorations and videos but just a suggestion you should invest in a nice green or black work mat for your hobby table your videos would look that much cleaner rather than that rough wood surface keep up the great work

My camera tends to focus on the cutting mat pattern so I don't film over it usually.
