Thanks Eelke, very useful! All those small little tricks and variations build up and make your productions stand out. For example you've taught me the clap panning thing last year, and I've been using it ever since. Been learning a lot from you, keep it up!

Thanks for the tricks! all these details are what makes your tracks sound far away better than other producers. I would love if you make a deconstructed of Rubicon or The Terminal :)

Thanks for this Eelke, really enjoy watching you deconstruct these tracks. Of a lot of tutorials i have watched, yours seems really minimal to be fair. I dont see you using much or any compression on ur tracks. Even with eq ur not doing alot. cutting away lows etc. My point is your tracks sound amazing both musical and production wise but with minimal plugs. Anyway i lv everything you do both production and djing, your new radio show, Days like Nights is great :) Thanks

Thanks! You're right I don't really use that much EQ or compression. With compression, only parallel drumbus compression sometimes. I still feel compression is more suited to styles like rock. Whenever I work on trailer with lots of guitars and real drums all my compressors come out. But otherwise, I just use them for a little bit of character here and there, not much more.

Gold. Thanks for sharing! P.S have you thought about going through and creating a basic track to see your workflow?
@eelkekleijn6 жыл бұрын
Might do that some time! Thinking about posting some other videos about production in general as well.

How aren’t you enjoying your DSI Rev 2? Also what do you think of the new UAD plug ins you picked up at Christmas?
@eelkekleijn6 жыл бұрын
I still need to use all of them more to really form an opinion. I usually install them and start working with them on my current tracks. But I haven't used them all enough to really form an opinion :)

Hey Eelke do you ever use the Arturia v collection from n your compositions?
@eelkekleijn6 жыл бұрын
Not really - I own them but they're super buggy on my system. Audio clipping, processor spikes. Not touching that anymore

Eelke Kleijn oh I see I just got it and it works fine on mine

excuse me eelke, i saw u use a lot the left channel or the right channel only, and then u process this in stereo, why u do that??? i don´t mean about hihats o claps, just when u use guitar rig for some pads o melody, THANKS!!!!!
@eelkekleijn6 жыл бұрын
Just to start from a mono signal and process that with the split L/R. I sometimes start from a stereo signal too, I guess it depends on the sound :) With a mono signal you are sure both channels in the split L/R get the exact same signal.
