Wow this is great! My dad played bass on this and arranged the vocals and horns. I've never got to hear the isolated vocals before. Thank you so much for this.

Your dad Chip Douglas MADE this song. Without him, and his brilliant arrangement, this song was dead in the water. The demo without his input can be heard on KZbin. It sucked until he breathed life into it.

Would you kindly post a link to the demo? Couldn't find it. Cheerz@@Psalmstrings
That is so cool…I think this song is one of the 3 greatest pop songs every recorded

The background vocals on this song are some of the most beautiful I've heard. Brilliant.

At 10:06 his voice is so vulnerable... Really nice to hear all of this REAL music !!!! (I’ve got nothing against electronics, loops, and using technology in music...but this is truly awesome). 😊❤️🎶

As an electronic musician, agreed, and now I'm going to flip this into a DnB remix

Thank you very much for taking the time to make the video and isolated the tracks. I've been trying to find a way to just learn the guitar part as accurately as I can but now thanks to you, I should be able to figure it out by ear. Can't thank you enough for this Alexandra. Very generous of you.

What's amazing is they did excellent isolating in the studio, as the only bleed over you hear is the drums into the guitar as well as the horns . Vocal tracks obviously done in different sessions

What a great song, and broken down it is easy to see how simple it was, also. But you bring all the parts together and you have a hit!

Wow, the whole production is amazing, great vocals and the rich orchestration on the last section is so good.

Very interesting how they made the backing vocals in prolly a chamber. Obviously they did this to make it sound bigger. Spector, not that he produced this, was known for his big sound on radio, and the chambers he had perfected that sound he was looking for.

O. M. G !. I cant believe this exists. You must have known I was gonna work this up and wanted to save me HRS arranging the vocal parts..LOL. Id found a really good clear midrange upload with a strong 3KHZ cutting edge in the vox that isolated them alittle better and figured THIS will have to do. Ive done Windy, 5 o'clock World, Make Me lose Control (Eric Carman) Loreli (Styx) , No Time (Guess Who),BUT, THIS ONE??? I honestly DONT think I coulda pulled off without YOUR HELP...LOL..These old road beat ears are tired, taking longer and longer to complete projects. You'll never know how much time you've save me!.This will likely be my last project...Thanks so much for your time/effort
