Very good stuff! Right in line with my devotional (Living Changed: Embracing Identity, 6 day plan on YouVersion, day 2) this morning about our identity as God's creation, chosen and loved, and not the earthly labels or descriptors, and a very beloved book I've recently read called Beholding, that beautifully invites us to "behold God beholding us" as His beloved, not for anything we do. The NZ author, Strahan Coleman, learned this when he became so debilitated that he couldn't DO anything FOR God. Thank you, ladies, for this important podcast discussion! I pray to be transformed and released from self-imposed bondage by the Truth! John 10:3 - "The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out."

I love this!! I also started praying and telling the Lord, "you said your sheep hear your voice..". I just started crying when she talked about that! I have questioned whether I was truly hearing His voice...such a confirmation! Praise the Lord! I've been hearing Him for 2 years now. And writing it down. So much of what she said I identify with. ❤❤❤

The Holy Spirit was upon this entire conversation. I have been walking through so much of these same things in my own journey, especially regarding peeling back the layers to uncover loads of fear that go all the way back to childhood. I love God with everything in me, but have such a hard time receiving His unconditional love for me, though I heartily proclaim His love towards others. I think this stems from being raised without a father and having no reference point for receiving that kind of love. Having lost my mom to cancer this last year, I am now without any parents, and God is using this time to pull me out of decades of fear by showing *Himself* strong as my FATHER. He also spoke to me years ago and said, “You reflect what you behold.” So, whatever we are fixing our gaze upon is what we will look and become more like. Now that I am beholding Him as Father, and seeking Him vulnerably and desperately in that way, I am starting to receive His love in that way. God bless you all for hosting and sharing this anointed conversation.
