Gotta love Zally's folk/trad harmonies. He invokes a barber shop quartet IMHO. Very old-timey but it sounds great. I'm glad you separated the components so I could hear it and appreciate what he's doing, let alone everyone else too :)

Sounds like the band are all there for the drum track, making noises with picks in muted strings, and some reverb from their amps. Curious if they used four tracks on this one. They used high gain amps on bass in studios back then, otherwise the bass disappeared on smaller playback systems. Some of the city sounds leaked through much earlier in the recording. I haven't heard it yet, but there were drum overdubs on this. Oh there they are! And bass overdubs! And whaps on the vocal track. Cool!
